I’ve been riding for 40 years and have had plenty of bikes or all types. I love this bike, it’s my favorite of all.

Agree. I traded my portly CTX1300 for this bike. It’s opened up a whole new world to me. I love it. BTW I’m 73 years old.

Acquired my own XL750 4-9-24 5:00 The service intervals are 4,000 miles { 6400 km } after a 1st service at 600 miles { 1000 km }. replace air filter at 12,000 miles. Check and adjust valve clearances every 16,000 miles.

Great videos, dude!! See a lot of negative comments regarding the bike, but dude, just ride the bike. The "ugliness" will fade away as you ride it. I could care less what it looks like as im not trying to impress anyone. Honda threw together a very solid bike here.

The manual says 8 000 miles / 12 000 kilometers for oil change. Not sure where that 6000 came in the video from

CORRECT, however we find that most of our owners are much happier having the engine oil changed during every 4,000 mile service. 🏍

@@MobMoto I would have preferred the look of the Africa twin .. or the simple looks of a 90 bike .. these alien pointing front end so famous this days are just terrible looking ( and look all the same )

The vsrom is far superior to the transalp.. budget suspension.. just lick the 300l the rear is pogo stick.. the ride modes suck to change.. by the time you put a skid plate and upgrade the suspension it costs more than the vsrom 800de.. if you want a road bike buy the Honda if you want an adventure bike buy the vstrom
@stevelarson4487

The Vstrom (506 lbs) weighs 47 lbs more than the Transalp (459 lbs), and has less HP. The additional weight is the main reason why I chose a Transalp over the Vstrom, the appearance was the second. Very happy with my choice so far.

@@stevelarson4487don't get wrong I'm not bashing the Honda it just too budget for me the vsrom 800de is heavier on paper for sure but I can't tell the t7 feels way heavier than the vsrom 800de I sold my t7 and bought the vstrom and I love the bike...I am also 6ft2
@MobMoto

yeah, a plus 500lbs 800 cc adventure bike is just not what people are looking for, at least not me. The suspension is adjustable but its still plush like all Japanese suspensions, not to mention its $1500 more

The vstrom is too heavy, too expensive, and it’s fugly.

I dont know in the us but in Europe the v-strom have a plastic skid plate, so that's gonna need to be replaced anyway, plastic handguards, plastic rear rack (but a very good quality plastic), you can't change the rider modes on the fly on a v-strom (not here at least). The only real advantage is that suspension and low end torque for off road, but that's it, the quick shifter it's not that smooth (I preferred the gearbox of Honda, even without quick shifter), and also the Strom heats pretty bad (from what I heard, after the break in period, that heat it's gonna reduce). And on asphalt, it didn't really matter how I set up the suspension, it's still not that good as the Honda (I known, that's weird), low speed manoeuvres just suck on the v-strom and it does have a much wider turning circle, don't get me wrong, v-strom is better in off road that the transalp and it's a great bike, but the transalp overall seems like a better bike, it more "all around friendly", it's also better put together. In my country de Strom is even cheaper than the transalp, and I still choose de honda after tested them both, why? Because Honda have a better spread of light from headlight, is more "premium" put together even though I kinda like the look of the v-strom more, and you can anytime put a top shelf suspension on the Honda, it's just about the money, easy fix, but you can't shave that easy the extra top heavy kg of the Strom. And also, if you plan to be serious in off road with the Strom, you still gonna spend extra money on a skid plate, crash bars and handguards, like on Honda.
