Mastering industrial processes such as aluminum injection, plastic injection, cutting, bending and drawing metals, in short, this was the state of the art in manufacturing processes at the time. 二輪生産がまだ鈴鹿製作所の時代ですね。私も少し前まで鈴鹿製作所にて勤務してました。フィット、Nシリーズ、CR-Zなどの塗装を手掛けてました。なつかしい鈴鹿の風景が見れて大変貴重な映像ですね。ありがとうございました。

Here in Canada, when I was a boy, 50 years ago, people were afraid to buy a Japanese car. Many people were worried that the car was not durable enough for the difficult conditions in my country. I currently drive a Honda Element. It has travelled 380,000 km so far, and it starts in -35C in the winter and +35C in the summer. I drive on rough, dirt roads in the Canadian North, and my 2008 Element does not rattle or squeak. I am very impressed with the quality of the vehicle and its assembly. Today, consumers pay more to buy a Japanese made product. So by your efforts, you have promoted a positive image of your nation to the world.

The quality of Honda die cast alloy and machined parts was always surprising to me. The motorcycles were not expensive, but were very reliable. I rode a CB450 and later a CB750 and I wish I had them both today.

この時代、工場レーサーのテストにテレメトリを使用して、リアルタイムにデータ収集／分析を行っていたとは驚きです。規模は違いますが、現代のF1とやっていることは同じですね！ 1948年に創業され、この映像が記録された1962年といったら、たった14年しかありません。この短期間に急成長し、量産車の製造設備含め、まさに宗一郎さんの情熱が溢れていて感動しました。

How interesting though to see that all their presses are German made by Schuler, as well as the welding robots, they are made by Schlatter, also a prominant German manufacturer. Both German companies are leaders in their respective fields to this day.

BSA, Triumph etc all visited these plants. They should have been terrified. But they put their heads in the sand. "The Japanese will only build small bikes, and we'll build the large profitable ones". Until their industry crashed to earth around 1972.

補足前年のロードレース世界選手権（WGP）東ドイツグランプリ250ccクラスで優勝した高橋国光選手ところが、勇んで乗り込んだ当年のマン島TTレースで、スタート直後に転倒し頭蓋骨陥没の重傷を負う（後に国光氏の顔面右側に残る縦の皺はこの時の後遺症）間も無くホンダがロードレースを外国レーサーに委託する方針が決まり、それを聞きつけた日産自動車難波氏（後のニスモ社長）が「高橋国光と北野元を日産に下さい」と頼みに行き、ホンダ川島喜好氏が受け入れたのは有名なハナシ

I have a Honda cb500x, and I love it. Thank you, Honda, to be consistent and reliable with the reasonable price always. I wish one day I would be able to visit any of your factory sites to appreciate your hard work and honesty in this regard. Just wanted to let you know that I have two Honda cars too, Honda Insight and Honda Element, high mileage but no problem, drive like a champ. Thanks again
