Sup, Jeremiah! It's your Kennewick, Wa. Bro here, been a few days, Lol. I just snagged a pair of Nocona Newt Cognac's on sale for $108.. Man i love these boots. I was also looking for a mid priced rubber sole boot for the fall-winter-spring time. Ranch & Home stopped carring Hondo boots a few yrs ago, i was bummed to see them go. Gotta run to Boot Barn in Yakima to get them in person! Edit: Hope you and that bride of yours are doing well!

I really taught when you say let's pull out some trees that you gonna pull out big trees, what a disappointment hahaha. I have a pair of Sendra boots which I wear when I go out they are really badass and comfy, and also a pair of Ariat tombstone H2O for working and daily use also very comfortable. Haha! I'm glad that weren't too big while being close to the house. I grew up there! I hear you though. The most annoying trees are the younger ones and the bobcat just makes it fast. Sounds like you have nice collection going! Keep it up! Thanks for watching

That was good I really enjoyed the vid, when you put your jeans on the I was thinking the boot would make a good dress boot as wel. I like that they are traditionally made. I agree 100% on the hard leather foot bed, it takes a while to break in butt after it breaks in they're yours. I have a pair of vintage Florsheim and Allen Edmonds with the corking footbed that makes a world of difference.it's like getting a custom fit shoe or boot without the custom fit price big job keep them coming,Ray peace ✌️l

You should look into pecos/redwing 1155 cowboy work boots solid boots I'm operator dirt work and when I'm on my feet doing grade checking and grade setting. There solid boots I have two pair and gave my dad pair too highly recommend

I like this boot, it would work great for doing what I do as a flatbed truck driver, I’m not the biggest fan of the U toe but I can live with it, great video although I still like more extended test footage of you walking around and doing stuff, but great video nonetheless and looking forward to the giveaway!!

Hey man, new to your channel, and the cowboy boot world. Already have 2 pairs though! I have to disagree with you about the leather insoles. I Do agree they are best in comfort, but not in versatility. With removable insoles, you can adapt different socks to suit the weather. Here in the Upper Midwest, cold winters and warm summers, its good to be able to change with the seasons. Also, if removable insoles ever wear out, you can just replace them. The leather footbed is kind of permanent. Love the channel, Subscribed.

Hey Mitch! I respect this take. Being able to wear different socks in the winter is a huge value you're right. One of my favorite things about the hard leather insole though is the fact that it is permanent. Love the durability of them over those that are removable and they very rarely if ever have to be repaired when they are taken care of

Jeremiah I found a pair of boots from this guy named Jed I. And he does cowboy action shooting And his boots are from a boot company in Texas called Buffalo Runner boots. They are what many old westian historians wear for reenacting or to edgucate on the way of the old west.

Anyone have any guidance on the fit of Hondo boots compared to other makers? I wear 8.5 D in Laredos, but my foot size is 9.5 and tried on a pair of 10.5 D Tony Lamas recently that were too tight.

They look virtually identical to Justin's Crazy Cow western boot which is a less expensive example of a "beater boot". In any case, I like the Justin's which means I like these too>

Justins are crap. Have a pair in Apache bay leather and the plastic/vinyl cording cover that they use cracked within days, revealing the white cord underneath. They are comfortable, but the materials used are inferior and they are vastly inferior boots.

Chunks of heel cap falling off - Poor quality material. I had that happen on a pair of Wolverine work boots. The entire heel separated (cracked away from the rest of the sole). There's nothing wrong with the rubber sole on the Hondos. It is preferred by riders of horses and bikes over a Vibram Lug sole for those purposes. I have several pairs of vintage Olathe & Tony Lamas with that type of rubber sole and the heels of each respective brand are of high quality and durability.
