How does remaking a game not count as running out of ideas? If your argument for the japanese regions being unique and otherworldy is because you're not japanese or that it's not as "well known" as the western ones you mentioned then you're missing a very important thing. The games were first targeting the japanese market, they didn't make the region japanese based because it would feel otherworldy, quite the opposite. I mean the first game takes place in the Kanto region, guess what that's based on? The real world japanese Kanto region. In fact one of the skepticisms they had about releasing the games in the west was that it was "too japanese". Them shifting to regions you're familiar with is not them running out of ideas.

So far the oneley glitches or whatever I have run into are once I couldn't pick up items and two when I seamed to be trapped by invissable walls. These wer bothe in poste game and I just had to reset the game. I sometimes feal people spend too much time findeing and pointing out the faults of somefhjng and not enjoy it for what it is.

@@TheOmegazerox Had the game from day 2, where they already had a patch out for the falling through the world glitches, but it was still really bad back then. The game not saving all the time, the camera not working aka seeing everything but your Pokemon fight, looking through the floor constantly. Then after the next few updates it got playable, but it still doesn't safe all the time and the Terra raids are extremly bugged to the point the enemy Pokemon right up vanishes or the health and time bars aren't shown anymore. So at the beginning it was unplayable for some and then with the updates it got way better, but not nearly everything is fixed.

Setting aside the terrible performance, Scarlet and Violet has some of the best writing for a pokémon game I know of. I love how all the gym leaders have other jobs. I love how many different character tropes are inverted here, from the team of bullies actually being a group of neurodivergent social outcasts to the standoffish rival actually being a wholesome soft boy to the teachers actually caring and taking an active role in trying to help students. Personally, my biggest complaint is about all of the very cool features from pokémon Legends that did not carry over.

The main character of the team star arc is director clavell, and to an extent some of the other teachers, who are attempting to rebuild the school from scratch after being left with a mess, a scandal, and a lack of information by the previous administration. The main character of the Titans storyline is undoubtedly Arvin, whom you are assisting in saving the life of his friend and, in a sense, helping him deal with his relationship with his parent. You are the main character of your attempt to be ranked as a champion, but uniquely for this franchise, every gym leader has a job other than waiting for you to come and beat them up. You are much less of a main character for no reason in this game than you are in sword and shield, or even Legends Arceus, for that matter, as best as I can recall.

She may take an interest in you due to your meteoric rise, but she hardly follows you around. Her role is, as with all champions, to battle anyone who happens to reach her. You aren't particularly special in that regard and any interpretation where she exists only to congratulate you is pure narcissism.
