Honest Review Of Highschool Of The Dead (20k Special)

In This Video, I will be giving my honest review of the anime Highschool of the Dead and ranking the characters on a tier list! My content is satire in nature and while it may sound like I disliked the anime it's mostly bad jokes. I will be talking about what makes it one of the most well-known animes of all time.. by insulting everything about it. Season 1 of this anime was released on Jul 5, 2010. There is currently only one season with no sign of another, but I speculate it will never get another since the mangaka did pass away. There is a manga that you can read. This video contains major spoilers so be aware if you plan on watching the anime or reading the manga.

Highschool of the Dead is, in my opinion, one of the top 3 Ecchi anime I've watched, and it's the best zombie anime. I loved all the characters, especially Saeko, who I consider one of the greatest and most beautiful girls in the anime world. And in the end, the anime in my opinion is great and I would give it 8/10

Honestly i would give this series a solid 8/10. It's definitely a fun, bloody, horrific and action-packed thrill ride of a series that will satisfy anyone who's a fan of a traditional zombie horror with lots of boobies, panty shots and nudity to appeal to male audiences. My gripes about High School of the Dead is it doesn't differentiate itself much from other zombie movies/tv shows coupled with the fact the series could've used more episodes to better flesh each character's backstory and expand deeper on the worldbuilding. While High School of the Dead is definitely worth a watch for fans of zombie horror there are better movies and tv series that have more unique takes on zombie horror. Best examples would be the movie 28 days later which is one of if not the best movie take on zombie horror mostly because it is the most realistic possibility of how a real zombie outbreak could actually happen in that rather than the infected being ravenous, cannibalistic, walking undead corpses they are instead fast, vicious and feral infected humans. Anime with better stories and unique twists on zombie horror would be Zombieland Saga which has a group of girls from different time periods who have died and have been resurrected as zombies in order to become idols to immortalize saga prefecture or the most recent Zom 100 which focuses on the story of a young Japanese businessman who along with the other survivors are just out living life to the fullest even in the heat of the zombie apocalypse.

Each ending song is uniquely written for the episode and makes an entire album. Definitely being slept on. Glad you pointed out the great camera work. The overall style of the show is what keeps me coming back to it. It's campy fun!

4:46 Ehh it's been around 6 Years since I watched this Anime and as far as I can still remember they did fire a Nuke that was just shot down by the remaining JSDF Navi before it reached the mainland, sparing it of the direct explosion but not the EMP. The EMP is a consequence of the nuclear explosion's electromagnetic shockwave that was still able to reach the city.

i remember watching the entire series on KZbin back when you can get away with that sort of thing. Yeah the series isn't the best narrative wise, the characters could use some work, the zombies aren't that interesting, and the constant fanservice was distracting, but being 14 at the time and seeing the action gave me something i wouldn't forget.

I've never been a huge fan of anime, I watched this solely because it mentioned zombies and I was surprised just how good it was. I was hooked by the atmosphere, the horror and the lewd humor. I binge watched the entire thing in one go and then Googled to see if there was a season 2.. Now I'm sad.

We may not have a season 2 of highSchool of the Dead. But you can always make a fanfiction story out of it. With a crossover. I know which zombie killer characters be suitable to show takashi's group how's it done. Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Edward Richtofen from Call of Duty. With their experience of killing the Night of the living Dead, takashi's group would be good at hands with them. Not to mention what the wonder weapon box has in stored for them. Especially Richtofen's weapon invention his Wunderwaffe. Bottle perks will come in handy. Sakeo and Takeo could be blood related family. They each have the same name. Pretty much good at wielding katana swords. And together, they would bring honor to the group. In order for both groups to meet each other. Tell em their stories and how many zombies they have killed in the past. First chapter you can think of is the mall, where takashi's group is at. And for tank's group they most likely will appear there. If anyone wants Tank and shizuka be a couple. Be my guess. Sure Shizuka Marikawa is a ditzy, but that's just her anyway. And hell, if you like you can add Samantha in the story. Alice could use best playmate friend. To anyone who makes their own fanfiction crossover story. Good luck.

I loved HotD, but the fan service distracted people from its quality imho. The mangaka was really into that (he used to draw hentai) so I understand it's probably his proclivities, but I liked the storytelling a lot and if they cut all the panty/bust shots, implied nudity, weird hentai body positioning/sweating I think most people would be sad it is gone. RIP.
