I wanted to let you know that I really needed to know about the "portrait /landscape question. Nobody answered that except you! I will wait until 4K and that option becomes available. Also, It appears that all the room may be available in the future =for them also to put a second camera on the left for 3D. I will wait for at least 4K continuoius recording w/ 128GB storage Thanks for your video!! Jerry

As someone that used to work in an optical your points about the adjusting and polarized lenses over tinted one are on point. Maybe ppl with higher Rx might be bothered by the extra weight of the frame even with thin lenses. Also, are these waterproof or resistant?

Out in public the bleed is almost non existent. Inside in a quiet environment put the volume at 25% and only you can hear it loud and clear. Outside go about 50-75%. If you're in a VERY noisy environment you're not going to hear that well. My opinion is they should have integrated bone conduction as well as speakers that lets you switch between modes.

I have the first generation and I didn't use them very much at all. My wife however uses them all of the time on our travels. Everyone gets hung up on the video quality, but I think the story of the video is much more important than whether it's 4k or not.

I have the first-generation Stories; I love them when I am fishing in Costa Rica. You can just touch to turn on and you record exactly what you are seeing. So many times, I thought someone was recording the event to find out that it was just missed. I have so many fantastic memories from different events that were just not obtainable without them. Just so everyone knows these don't work when you are travelling to a foreign country because Meta only supports these in selected countries. So if you are a traveller these sunglasses and it's features are no good to you .. I learnt it the hard way after buying these in US and have them shipped to India and guess what they don't work

I love mine. The only complaint is that the battery is not powerful and doesn't last more than 2 hours. The other things are amazing, answer my calls without hands, ready my msgs and take pictures with my voice is awesome. I have to buy some nose grips because I have an oily face, yes I have a prescription, progressive and transition... AWESOME ❤❤❤❤

I’m more of an occasional user, a few photos here and there some music, watch some KZbin videos etc maybe a short call and my glasses are normally still at around 30-40% when I take them off to go to bed. I use prescription lenses so i need to be wearing them at all times

I just bought the standard matte black frame + transition too. I think that’s the best colour and frame (I did go through the selection but they have additional price tags). However I can’t find if the clear transition lenses have anti UV on them.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the AI features. According to Zuck, you can query meta’s Ai engine and ask it to translate a sign or what a landmark is. Anyone know if that feature works?

Just got them, amazing stuff but 16:9 and longer record times would make this unbelievably handy. Stable with nice image and video quality. Battery life could be a little better. Pretty sure next iteration will resolve at least 2 out of these 3 !

Heavily disagree. I've worn glasses my whole life. Most glasses are anywhere from $200 to $500. Many are even more expensive than that and that's with no tech inside at all. Starting at $300 is actually a steal. I've never liked ray bans because I can't justify spending over $100 on sunglasses. But sunglasses that have cameras, speakers, and an AI inside? Absolutely.

I bought rayban stories, just before the meda glasses came out. I retied and brought the glasses with me to the Philippines. It didn't even last 3 months. First, the audio stopped working, shortly after the video and the still shot camera. I bought the transition lens glass. It's just glasses now. Never abused or dropped them. Not very solid state tech.

Sounded like they would be great. I went to lense crafters and was going to get these in a prescription. However it's only certain prescriptions that ray ban will do for these glasses. It's not that they can't it's just that they won't. If your not a popular prescription type you can forget getting these. Ray ban and meta put restrictions on lense crafters that don't allow them to go outside of the parameters set by meta. Very dissapointed.

I enjoyed your review. I just purchased a pair last night so I'm not super familiar with them. However you do seem more pleased about your glasses than I do. One topic that you didn't touch on very much was the live streaming. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I can't find it anywhere but I see you have to be connected through Wi-Fi to live stream. Well I like to do 5K walk/runs and I wanted to live stream them. Kind of hard to connect to a Wi-Fi if you're out and about on a run course. I can't find a way around this. I even tried to connect my phone's hotspot and it couldn't do that so I tried to connect my hotspot And my Wi-Fi and the app told me I had to shut off my hotspot. If you know a way around this please reply back to this. I really want to keep these glasses but as I see it right now they won't function the way that I want them to. Thank you in advance

I ordered the transition prescription lenses with the g15 rayban tint. can’t wait to pick them up from lens crafters today I’ve been waiting for two weeks. Lens crafters had a 50% off sale going on, used a $50 coupon and they gave me an additional $50 off. Came to $500. I already got a $400 reimbursement from insurance even before I got the glasses lmao. That and I bought the year insurance from lens crafters so it’s $25 I believe to replace the frames and $25 for the lenses.
