Video just popped up, and I gotta saw it was well worth those 11 minutes and 35 seconds! Thank you ! Hope you enjoy your 40V set up!

Thank you for this. I’m gradually shifting my tools from Ryobi to Dewalt where I need to and this video convinced me to get the Dewalt hedge trimmer for a bit more. It works a lot longer than I expected with great cutting power, going through branches overgrown for years with unexpected ease. I just moved into a larger old growth yard so proper upgrading is essential. Your videos are great keep up the good work.

I just went to Home Depot this afternoon to purchase the 40V Ryobi line trimmer and I had an issue with my charger as well. I had to go back and exchange the unit. Looking forward to using this. It was a choice between the Ryobi and Milwaukee. I just couldn't come to grips with another $150 bucks for the Milwaukee. Thanks for the review.

I love mine as well. Their customer service at Ryobi is also top notch!

Their products are priced perfect for most home owners with good performance.

@@dial2fast I think they start to become overpriced when you move into the larger tools like the mowers and the snowblower is pretty high imo. I'd say the trimmer and attachments are at a good price though.

Great video! You covered everything I needed before buying the attachments.

You should do a comparison between the brushless and brushed powerheads

I have a 72" radio control boat... an offshore catamaran I'm going to use 2, 40v motors now that I know it's got variable speed.

Returning mine to HD for a new one tomorrow. Box was opened when I received it via home delivery and neither the trimmer or edger will connect to the motor unit because it's bent.

Looks like you installed the ryobi hedge trimmer head at a 90 degree offset

Nice setup and hope your enjoying the extra power with the 40V system. I started with the first gen. expand-it trimmer that was brushed then switched to the brushless model when it came out and the added power/runtime was outstanding! I love the pole saw attachment, I’ve abused it and it keeps going like a champ. How has that hedge trimmer attachment been for you after a year?

What is the difference between 40v brushless and 40v carbon fiber trimmer ?
@dial2fast3 жыл бұрын
The carbon fiber refers to the shaft of the tool being lighter than fiber glass or metal.

You need to edge thick over grown grass. You really didn't test the edger for torque

Dudes a homeowner doing a review, not a pro bench testing freaking torque.
@cameranmanner47012 жыл бұрын
@@antcantcook960 If I used power instead of torque would that be any different? His test is not what the average home owner runs into. This was best case scenario review. I am an average home owner. too I want to know if it can do a good job under normal conditions. I do not want to waste time and money trying it later to find it was poorly designed and underwhelming in performance. it's a review and i and many others are looking for regular condition use, not a forensic or engineering analysis.

Ryobi quality control seems like garbage. Two new pieces of equipment needed to be return and replaced. That's unacceptable.

TIM from Canada I own Ryobi tools I can tell you right off the bat this is about what you can expect from this shitty line of tools. I have the RYOBI JET BLOWER . It only lasted one season and I blew out the turbo on this shitty piece of equipment... I really have no use for a Ryobi tools.. are you on them so I can give my honest opinion on these.. if you were going to buy yard equipment go to Milwaukee fuel.. 18 V will run you everything your drills anything that Milwaukee owns 18 V .. tool line and you can get the Milwaukee fuel 18 V power head attachments and it will run off of all 18 V batteries cannot say the same thing for Ryobi.. if you DEWALT . This too is a great lineup for yard equipment... (stay away from anything to do with Ryobi).. (this is the worst line of tools you can own)
