For current and future users of this noisy foam spitfire, that crunchy crunch when you open the hopper is from the 2 little tabs on the sides of the accordion. It can feel like you are going to break it or it's stuck. I put a thin piece of cardboard over the grooves inside the hopper so they slide over smoothly and taped them in place. No more crunchy.

Honestly, mod this for a lipo and it can be a really great CQB option. The hopper reloads with that rate of fire? I think it could really do some work.

This review felt a little too quick for me, no bring up of the previous versions, what's better about this one, worse, ect. The fire rate was almost ignored even though it was one of the biggest selling points Dartzone talked about. This kinda felt like all you did was acknowledge it's existence. I'm leaving a like still, because it's still a good video, I'd just like more depth in these.

Funnily enough not only is it easy to convert the Matrixfire to fire magazines, but doing so makes it an absolute bullet hose (but it's also recommended to upgrade the motors tho)

Yes Sir, we still want you or someone else to do a mod guide. If I may, I wouldn't use this blaster to be a dart-hose. If I were doing the mod, I would either keep the feed-mechanism separate, and powered by the 6AA's and Install a NYX cage, Wheels and a pair of Fangs. Looks there should be plenty of room to a 2S in there body somewhere, even if you need to mount another battery compartment on the opposite side of the blaster from the ammo can.

As always a mod guide would be great. Maybe you should run the pusher at a lower voltage than the flywheels? I can see the point in no paint. Every 'process' you go through has a reject % so mold and paint has more rejects than just mold. But they do a good job of it.

Drac, IIRC from the blog post, you're supposed to be able to swap the hoppers for a reload, could you test that? Also (just a guess) the orange ventilation on the side looks like it could be a door? The destructor had a side door for loading single darts, so maybe this does too? Might have to pick one of these up, I have a commandfire but this seems to shoot a lot faster and seems to be actually a fair bit more responsive. The ROF on this seems actually pretty dang high for a stock blaster.

Honestly I think hoppers are the future of casual nerfing, I use unmodded for battles with mags and always seem to run out of mags and then reloading them mid battle is a pain. Being able to just grab a bunch and jam em in the blaster and be ready to go seems like a good feature for kids/not super dedicated Nerfers. I think mags, especially on half darts are superior because if you carry 5 or more and aren’t just spraying them it is the fastest reload. But for casual hoppers might be the way to go.
