I genuinely keeps going with their good streak in these blasters so far. Rival is great but besides the perses I feel 2019 was not a good year for nerf. Especially with how well Dartzone and Xshot have done.

That little orange button on the top right side of the trigger, that allows you to load multiple rounds.

The unjamming button. The best part is that by using this trick, you also avoid old darts ruining the shot. I've been able to get 5 rounds in one shot and it doesn't seem to make the power of the shot much worse. This truly is a shotgun, so I thank you for making this comment, and I hope Drac sees it.

Thank you for your honest review as you have (probably) the most experience with a wide array of nerf, from stock to a bit of hpa, so if you really enjoy a blaster I know exactly what to buy as my next primary. However the stock seems kinda short.

I bought two. This is just a perfect rival class ball blaster for the price. The ammo is also cheap and plentiful. You do hear a little bit of plastic crackle handling it but its still a solid shell. I dont think Hasbro is able to top this, anything they make with the same features lately is atleast double the price.

I use the pump release switch to double-load or even triple-load, sometimes even from the jam door because they really can just drop in there.

Great video as always drac! Sorry for being late I’m currently catching up on all my KZbin stuff lol. Idea for the stock solution: 3D print something to extend it and add comfort, maybe put a rubber butt pad on the end for even better secureness, and then figure out how to extend the ammo capacity utilizing a different magazine spring of some sort (probably a cool idea in theory but probs would never work but if it did work it’d be a worthy upgrade to not only increase length of pull but also increase ammo capacity).

It already kinda works with FoamTechnician's Kronos speedloaders, the follower is just a little large for the speedloader to fully pop every single rival round into the internal magazine.

It can shoot 2 or 3 shots at a time if you hold the switch above the trigger and prime multiple times. Does it better than the atlas ever could, too.

Got my 2 pack deal from Amazon after your review. Just want you to know that the blaster is not compatible with Headshot ammo. I guess they are a smaller diameter to both Zuru and genuine Nerf high impact rounds. I ran a ton of Headshot ammo through from multiple purchases and none of it worked. It would just fall out of the blaster. The included ammo and mothership ammo worked just fine though. Maybe let the fans know in an update. That being said, i do love the blaster otherwise. For rightys it is ridiculously easy to shot gun load 2 to 5 rounds at once. Just push the deprime switch forward and pump rounds in. Ive had success loading up to 5 with reasonable range for a shotgun blast.

You can kinda shotgun the Orbit by using the depriming switch. It fires 3 rounds at best, any more than that and they just kinda fall out of the barrel.

struggles with Nerf rival rounds. I also notice that the Chaos rounds kind of veer a little at the end of their trajectory when I use them in spring rival blasters compared to original rival rounds so I consider it more of a short to mid range blaster. That being said its super sweet despite the minor gripes

Problem is, there are a LOT of compatibility issues with the X-Shot rounds in RIVAL blasters, and RIVAL rounds in the Orbit. The rounds have a slightly different diameters. Sorry Drac, truth is it's not very "compatible".

can confirm that this problem has to do with the wear on the rounds, and how it is chambered. Takes some time to figure out, but it fires all brands really well once you do, headshot is still unpredictable, but if you triple-chamber it like I do, then every shot is not only effective, but entertaining... Granted you only get 5 shots

I bought the double Orbit pack from Amazon and I was completely disappointed. It’s billed as compatible with other brand rounds but Rival rounds literally rolled right out the end of the barrel and Adventure Force/Ballistix rounds didn’t work well either. And their customer service has no answer as to whether this issue will be fixed at all.

Mine works fine with all types, but i have heard there are 2 versions, a tuned down one for certain markets. I live in Europe and in Germany they have tighter rules so some people i know ordered it on the German Amazon and they all got weak blasters that dont shoot good at all.

A fix for this problem would be to open ot up and add a thin layer of something to the inside of the start of barrel to make the initial fit tighter, then if you want to turn it into a monster just drop in a worker 14 kg longshot spring and dominate.

one could say it provides a straight grip, or a more-straight grip. all the other rival "shotguns" are sharply pistol gripped, Takedown has more rough-cut ergonomics. You bring up a good point though, so many shotguns, so little time.

So two notes on the Orbit: 1) Others have noted this and I am just signal boosting them with my own experiences; it does not play well with ammo other than X-Shot's own balls. Sometimes it fires them at about the same velocity, sometimes it kind of dribbles them half-heartedly out the barrel. 2) I bought the two pack from Amazon. One of them's working great. The other worked great until it spat half its innards out in a rather grizzly case of blaster self destruction. Still a great blaster, but the caveats need to be noted I feel.
