This is definitely an overly picky thing, but I feel I cannot be the only one who thinks the commentaries are sooo much better when they are all in the studio together and talking face to face right?! I understand in a post covid world that doing a Zoom meet up makes perfect sense, BUT there’s just something about the energy between these fine folks when they’re in the same room that is so much more enjoyable. Anyone else feel this way??

Totally agree. In studio is just a way better presentation. Everyone has the same audio quality, video quality and more importantly the energy and discussions are just more enjoyable and entertaining.

I do prefer it in-studio but they all write the scripts and articles at home now meaning going to the studio is travel time+expenses, and they share the studio with others. Wouldn't be surprised if commentaries vanishes altogether.

The scene where Alan Richman's characters recaps how ridiculous everything is was amazing. I really enjoyed the movie. You need to judge these movies for what they are. For a Fast and Furious movie this was a great movie and I can't wait for the ridiculousness of the next one.

I guess they don't have too many aspirations of moving out of the KZbin space. I'd have thought they'd at least be in a grey area though given the show has previously been nominated four times for an Emmy (Short Form Variety Series 2016-2019). Obviously none of them are WGA members, and maybe the rules clearly exclude them.

@@drewmur yep, I tought the same. That they had done like LotR and Infinity War and Endgame and filmed everything together to cut cost. But no. Dan Murrel (that used to write Honest Trailers) does a really good weekely show in his channel about box office where he talk about these things. I recomend.

@@rsrocha1984 It can't really lean on merchandising to get it over the line either - can't say I've seen any, and given the lackluster US domestic performance can't imagine it's much different there. Maybe there's some streaming licensing or physical media sales, but can't think they'll bring in enough.

I don't know about worst (haven't seen enough new releases) but it went way past crazy fun to just stupid, combined with some pretty average CGI in a number of scenes. The characters are caricatures of themselves attempting to take cartoon scenes serious. At least Momoa seemed to know how ridiculous a movie he was in.
