Totally agree on the Loki/Sylvie stuff. It was so central to Season 1. Gutted we didn't get a proper reconciliation in Season 2. I did love Loki's story this season, but a lot of characters got sidelined which was disappointing.

Couldn't agree more on what went wrong with Loki s2. I loved the first episode and was intrigued by the different visual style they went for this season. But then I kept waiting for meaningful character interactions and resolutions for another five weeks and instead the finale ended up just sort of doing THAT. It left me disappointed and sad (more like depressed) over all the wasted potential but on the bright side made me appreciate s1 even more. So THANK YOU for the Honest Trailer! I could tell you felt similarly and it really cheered me up big times 😂❤

The new TVA was hunting Kang variants so that way they could keep all the timeline branches but be on the lookout for kang variants. That's why they mentioned Ant Man and the MCU universe at the end.

I feel like part of the gripes here are because of what I am still convinced is a missing episode between 1 and 2. Clearly a good deal of time has passed between these episodes ("but time works differently in the TVA"). I got the impression though that Loki had been working with Mobius and the others for months; enough time for factions to have been formed, alliances cemented, etc.

You guys are so right! don’t listen to the people complaining about this take, i also felt that season 2 just lacked the emotional depth of season 1. Yes, Loki realized that he needed his friends at the End of Time, but let’s be honest, he barely knew Casey, B15, or OB. He only had a deep connection with Sylvie and Mobius. With season 2 not allowing Loki to continue his romantic connection with Sylvie, and TBH although Mobius and Loki had a lot of screen time, they didn’t really build upon their friendship either.

What I love about season 2 is that a lot of the marvel series started strong then the final episode was straight up bad, I feel this way about Moon knight, miss Marvel, what if and probably more. it's refreshing to see a show that drags a bit in the middle but really brings it towards the end , huge character finale for the main character going full circle ascending to his throne

I actually understand your criticism. I think this bond creating would’ve shown more if there was 2 to 3 episodes where Loki is having adventures with his team and half an episode transitioning to the main theme of season 2. Other than that, I feel it was a great way to develope Loki. So far Guardians 3, Spider Man and Loki are the only good things marvel has and will have at the moment.

Lon Harris said it all. I repeat, their relationship was the main thread of this series. They threw it away. No wonder we're frustrated. Nothing good about season two. Even the ending is hard to watch cause Loki is punished and it's so unfair to him. All the beauty of season one's gone. Thanks to him for speaking up for us, sylki shippers.

You were complaining about the extreme loki variants and that made no sense. Most of those were taken from the comics. But it makes sense just in the show. Lokicis is a god or being with great power. He is part frost giant. He has the ability to change form and has gotten stuck in different forms or just chosen to live in a different form. So of the marvel characters that would have the most wild variants loki would be at the top because of his nature. Look at how many variants spider man has without the ability to shape change.

@erikstevenson8508 but the Sylki shippers wanted their romance to continue, but what I'm saying is that there was no path for that, however, they still had scenes together to flesh out their relationship, like their fight in the ferris wheel in Chicago, the pie room, the bar, etc.
@erikstevenson8508
@erikstevenson8508 6 ай бұрын
@@omalor There absolutely was a path for that. The writers of the show could absolutely write the story for S2 with Sylvie & Loki still having a romantic relationship. You seem to be saying that "there was no way to write a story that resulted in Sylvie and Loki still being together" and that's simply incorrect.

@@erikstevenson8508 but then it would be out of character for Sylvie to be with Loki again, and people would be complaining about that instead.
@renobutters

@@omalor from the moment they determined that in the end he'd sacrifice his 'life' to save everyone else, they knew he'd end up alone (meaning it's simpler to just call off the whole romance due to the fallout of s01e06), and yet he looked at Sylvie with dewy eyes in the end, implying he's doing all that out of love for her (and friendship for the others). I agree the second season should have addressed their relationship or lack thereof, though-- it seems like all they focused on was the idea was that she was now in love with an entire branch (no boyfriend we know of), making her kind of a philosophical allegory rather than a full fledged character like in season one. Yet, the actress made it work. Kudos for trying something different.

I agree with most of what Lon said. I liked this season at the end, but the problem is that the way it ended, felt like it could have been just a couple more episodes tacked on at the end of the first season instead of 6 interminable long and chaotic episodes in two seasons. The most honest part of this trailer is the analogy of the show to the current state of Marvel and the Multiverse "Saga" that is just falling flat on its face and has gone well beyond breaking its figurative nose and is just smashing itself into the floor over and over and over again... Fully agree that it is time to either reboot completely, or just get rid of the multiverse and return to telling CHARACTER stories instead of EPIC PLOTS that no one cares about.

Why do do you actively choose to review Marvel shows when you clearly hate them, think they are irrelevant and out of date? Saying everything "should have been a movie" is a tired complaint. Saying the multiverse is "too confusing" is childish. Saying why are they bringing up Thanos is like asking why is the greatest event ever in history not being referenced or having an impact moving forward?
