No spoilers in this comment, but after watching the way Sam Rami pushed the boundaries of PG-13 violence and horror in The Multiverse of Madness after seeing Morbius the week prior, I couldn't help but think that "This is how you should do PG violence in a vampire movie.". Although, in all fairness, no movie about a creature of the night whose entire "thing" is the drinking of blood should EVER be PG-13. NEVER.

Sony for sure planned to have Morbius take place in the MCU which would explain the cut scenes from the trailer where you see the Spider-Man murderer graffiti and the scene where Vulture is talking to Morbius in jail. But because of the COVID delays and Spider-Man far from home - they rewrote it and cut a bunch of stuff to do a sinister six with Garfield (probably).
