Funny you mention the nun part because in the episode of King of the Hill where Peggy (also voiced by Kathy Najimy) impersonates a nun, once Hank finds out, he makes a deep reference (and 4th Wall-ish observation) that at least when Whoopi Goldberg impersonated a nun, it was to run from the mafia

I still can't watch this without getting scared.. it used to air really late at night in my country and I would make an excuse not to watch it. I was only forced to watch it when our sitter really wanted to see it and I was not able to sleep after that. It's still giving me the creeps, and I just realized how good their costumes are and how realistic everything is that made me really scared back then. In my mind this is all very possible and that there really are witches with us right now.

Of course the Nightmare before Christmas Is a Halloween movie!!! If you want to see a christmas movie, you have to find out the BBC adaptation of Terry Pratchett's The Hogfather. It is divided in two films, one for the 24th and one for the 25th. The book is better, but it's still a lovely Hogswatch...ehmmm... christmas watch 😊

Haven't thought about Earnest Scared Stupid for a while. I think I was 11 years old when I first saw it. I just remember the scene where he's given the letters MI_K and can't figure out what it is. Then he later confronts the monster all confident that he knows his weakness and shows him a can of "Miak," followed by Earnest saying "thought I couldn't find any this time of year didn't ya?" 11 year old me absolutely lost it.
