Well to be honest I was taken aback(not in a bad way) by how it has become popular in America, because the first time I watched the movie I thought it was a good movie, and the 2nd time I watched it , I felt it was okayish. So I was worried that in America this movie might be memes for being so bad that it's good. But contrarily, the people in the west are appreciating it, and I think it has something to do with the fact that this movie isn't trying to push propaganda down people's throat or trying unnecessary representation. You can just sit back, keep your brains aside and enjoy for what it is. Not my favourite movie, but I'm glad that people are enjoying telugu action movie, because for the longest time, telugu action was memed and made fun of by even indians. I was and still am in that category too. But I'm also glad that it's getting its worth.

That ain't the reason brother.. It is actually a pretty simple reason, thry just haven't seen movies be that over the top and a movie being the balls to the walls since terminator or maybe even die hard.... We just saw it as just another telugu action flick, because we have been seeing movies like these for years now, we are used to these type of movies.. Every action movie of india is crazy with no logic.. So for us it wasn't really anything new and the plot was also soo bare bones that there really was no compelling story

@@AniCryptoEarnings The actual answer is that it is a well executed over the top action movie, unlike other movies in Tollywood or any other Indian masala movies. Blockbuster movies are all about execution. The action was over the top, but was very creative and brilliantly executed. If the story is great but execution is poor, people will not connect with it. RRR was executed brilliantly in almost every aspect of film making even though the story was quite basic with so many plot conveniences.

@@SkumarC you can't be serious. They went over the top with the vileness and made the British so menacing. That whipping scene with the barbed whip was so over the top and laughable. And most of the low ranking officers then were brown sahibs. The Brits only held top prestigious positions. No one would have sat on a throne like a barbarian to watch flogging. And that kidnapping of the girl was also laughable. People used to sell their children for small amounts of food and money in those times, they still do, so abducting a tribal child was again over the top. All in all, they made out the British to be a lot more on the nose than they were. They were diplomatic people, violence used to be the last resort, most of the times they achieved their goals diplomatically.

I know indian history very well and I know that incidents of brutality were more often done by the brown sahibs, zamindars, or the British bootlickers of Indian origin. The British did not indulge in violence and brutality as blatantly shown. The examples were sporadic. Secondly, what we perceived kasab, or mullah omar as, similarly the rebels were perceived by the British as terrorists. One man's revolutionary is another man's terrorist. It all depends on who holds the power.

Actually they need to do Vikram movie and malayankunju movie. RRR is my fav movie but still there are some impossible scenes.
