Usually I'd hate a character because they are the villain, or love them despite that because of their charisma. Homelander is very different. He's the only villain that actually scares me. There’s an urban fantasy book series called Night Watch. In one of the books, a villain wants to give everyone in the world magical powers. He’s the only one who doesn’t realize just how batshit insane that would be. An ordinary human sums it up quite well: if someone steps into your foot on a bus, you can just call him a jerk and be on your way. But with magic, you’ll be able to incinerate the bastard. People are too irresponsible and selfish to be given superhuman abilities

Honestly Giancarlos is an amazing actor and he's just getting so much work right now it's like no one told him how famous he actually is so he feels he has to say yes to every project and I am here for it. I remember watching him on Revolution and man the acting was so freaking good in that series it sucks that the writing was terrible.

Fortunately once the majority of people can't afford to live in a capitalist system they'll be forced to confront the system and since they'll have nothing left to lose they'll have a decent chance at forcing change, even if they lose who's left to support it at that point?
