I give the credit to my parents a bit because they never stopped me to do any experiment. I bought an IPO and the market crashed, lost half the money invested. But that's what will teach me.

Also, read and watch Ramit Sethi, Dave Ramsey, Graham Stephen, The Financial Diet, & Nate O'Brien to know more about personal finance. All of them have different approach to personal finance and that is why I recommend them so that you have different perspectives which helps you in forming your own approach.
