1.Not learning about personal finance at our early 20s is a grave mistake 99% of my friends made. 2. You have to give at least 10 years to your investments to see any meaningful growth. 3. Diversification is very important. Investing in only FD or only MF doesn’t make sense. 4. Don’t forget to enjoy your life by taking too much stress by thinking about savings all the time. It’s okey to splurge occasionally.

I'm 19 and aggressively into stock markets, I have my own portfolio and daily track the markets. (Aaj banks ekdum mast waala upar gaye). I give the credit to my parents a bit because they never stopped me to do any experiment. I bought an IPO and the market crashed, lost half the money invested. But that's what will teach me.

Also, read and watch Ramit Sethi, Dave Ramsey, Graham Stephen, The Financial Diet, & Nate O'Brien to know more about personal finance. All of them have different approach to personal finance and that is why I recommend them so that you have different perspectives which helps you in forming your own approach.
