MMV4799 She can and she’s show cased she can on Instagram. Let’s be honest she only sings in that now iconic baby voice maybe for a month when recording an album? She lip synchs her live shows (which as a fan I don’t mind cause she at least performs and put on a show which can excuse the lack of live vocals) so it’s not like she’s running her voice every single night...

Interesting. Her voice is strained when she sings in the baby voice because it isn't her natural register. It gets pitchy which is a good thing she lip syncs in concerts to save her vocal chords. Gosh her voice in her childhood was amazing! Also the best vocals in this video was the Happy Birthday song. I would love for her to branch out and sing using the natural power of her lower register. I guess at her start of her career it would have been too similar to Christina's. Anyhow, look how many records Britney sold with her signature cute baby fry voice.

I think the main problem is the baby voice and a lack of focus on the voice, but she’s also been a smoker for most of her life. You should react to Britney vs Christina’s live vocals as children. It really highlights how much potential Britney had as a singer when she was young. I still think if she trained she could be a very good vocalist, especially given her range and aptitude with transitions.

Britneys voice is so contemporary, could also be in jazz, and definitely could be a broadway. thats a very powerful voice for a young child. my mother, used to sing in broadways, and she saw me, watching britney when she was young in star search, she implied that britneys voice is very suited for broadways, very emotional voice, she implied as well that britney can act through singing too she can make you feel melancholic, lively, sexy etc. and listenig to her ongs, she really can emote in her songs.

Her lower register is so beautiful and her falsetto is great. She has a pretty wide range and she doesn’t ever get the credit for that. But a side note, there are plenty of other and better performances from her vocally that were not in this video.

R I Q U E I think that too. I’ve always thought the sound of her voice was pretty but it’s frustrating because since she’s already been this successful with such poor technique, her label will see no reason to fix it. Huge Britney fan here and thank you for doing this vid. When you asked what contributes to the deterioration of her voice, she’s a smoker, she’s been smoking since roughly 2000, (late teens) that’s the first time she was papped having a cigarette anyway. She’s no Whitney Houston but she does have her moments and I truly believe her voice has the potential to be even better if she were to shake off bad habits like the “baby” voice, smoking, etc. A lot of her earlier and unreleased songs see her singing in that lower richer register and I truly believe as a singer, that’s the range where she feels most confident. The “baby” voice was 100% manufactured by her record label to make her sound more “pop” and I feel that she’s lost a lot of confidence when it comes to singing in her natural voice.

I also noticed that as her career progressed, her voice has gotten consistantly higher and more pitchy in that baby style. In baby one more time, you can still hear a more darker tone to her voice which is almost then less in her second album Oops but is still there. And then in her third album Britney, it's almost totally gone being replaced with a more pop sounding lighter tone. After that she just lost total control with her voice and I think that once she went down the more light pop sounding road, her voice just went kerplunk.

And I think she started to suffer from anxiety thought her career and it came to a point she stopped to sing live. I think Christina suffer from anxiety on stage too because she always sings better in rehearsals than live televised performances and that's why she lost her voice between 2012-2014. By the way, ¿Can you react to the new Christina Aguilera - The Xperiencie in Las Vegas? She's doing it great and her voice suddenly sounds healthier, almost like in 2009. It would be great if you react to "Maria" (Live in The Xperiencie) or "Twice" (Live in Liberation Tour, because her creativity was awesome in every single performance). Greetings from Chile!

She can in fact sing. She has a powerful low voice. It's a shame what producers did to her voice making her sing in that silly baby voice.

As a huge Britney fan. She used to smoke a ton, the baby voice isn’t anywhere natural. She’s a natural alto and thrives in a deep lower register. But her voice is what mad her iconic.

You’re an amazing vocal coach. I love that you can see the issues in performances without hate. It’s really awesome. I can watch you anytime. ❤️ I do think her “baby voice” and bad technique as you were saying damaged her voice. She was never taught properly how to sing in her tone. If she would of had a proper coach and they used her natural tone she would have been unstoppable in my opinion. As much as I love her, she had so much more vocal potential.

She was told by the record labels to stop & stay away from that "high pitch/baby voice" earlier in her career. That's why she always lip syncs, or sings over a prerecorded track with some help of autotune. Not hating, I LOVE MY BRITNEY!!!!!

Her voice didn't deteriorate. Form about 2001ish to 2011 the baby voice was forced on her a lot by Jive. Her 8th albums in 2013 was her first with RCA and the first in a long time where she showed off her natural tone. Perfume is a song you should listen to and Alien. Songs like Hold on tight too are a good mix. Since 2014 she's been training her voice a lot more. Glory in 2016 used a good mix of both voices. Then in 2017 and 2018 she posted Instagram clips of her showing off her natural voice. She likes the baby voice but Jive just wouldn't let her showcase both voices

It's all britney on songs like Alien(minus the non alone parts) tik tik boom(minus the riffing at the end) hold on tight, don't cry, perfume, now that I found you and it should be easy. She only really does the work, work it out and work bitch parts on work bitch,. That's why the entire song was re-recorded for Vegas. She barely does Body ache and Passenger(her vocals have leaked though and they are better than myahs) Britney did sing everything but Will I. Am put Myah on a lot of lead vocals

I feel bad that Everytime didn’t get the recognition it deserved. It certainly was a big hit. But all this time thinking it was just a sorry for a break up. That doesn’t hit as hard as it being about the baby she didn’t have. This song must have been so hard for her to sing ever single time.

Great video. Thank you so much for being so respectful. Unfortunately people tend to not be very respectful towards her, which is very sad. You on the other hand was, and explained a lot of interesting things! Great video! She's actually very talented, but as you mentioned, her baby voice makes it very very hard, I really wish she would use her natural tone more often because it really is beautiful. Imo the baby voice should be a stylistic OPTION to use eventually, not all the time. Also there's the fact that she suffers from anxiety and is actually a VERY shy person, so I guess she has problems with stage fright after the things she went through sadly. Anyways, she deserves the best and let's hope she starts using her natural tone more often 🙏

Back when they were doing that type of stuff in her hair... she was still a teenager. The video you commented on with her ponytails she was about 17. Britney Spears released her first single when she was 15. I think most people forget that she’s young because she debuted so long ago but at a very tender age. The issue was she sexualized at a very young age.

I need to give context to mystic man - she was about 60 min into her high energy tour dream within a dream. On top of that it’s not a song she’s ever released. Which it’s safe to assume she doesn’t know each and every part without having to think about it. I literally have no idea why they would include that bc it’s not good, and tbh who after dancing there ass off for an hour out of breathe energy etc could delivery any sort of solid performance on a song they’ve never sung before (except maybe in a rehearsal) she literally did this song a handful of time before switching to another self penned song she never released or presumably recorded.
