I've seen a few videos of theirs now. Specifically this guy, repeatedly going out to where the dog is living, and spending days/weeks/months even to gain the dogs trust and bring them home. Amazing honestly. Huge respect. The world needs more of this.

We have a very similar little dog,a deer face chihuahua that came to us as a rescue after losing his owners to Covid. Brilliant little dog, always up for fun,walks and cuddles. There is way more to these plucky little dogs than being carried around in handbags!

There are two principle types of chihuahua,the deer face and the apple face. The deer face has a longer nose,slightly bigger ears and slightly longer legs. The dog in the video has all these characteristics. It comes down to personal preference but,in my humble experience, the apple face chihuahuas do seem to suffer more medical issues and don't seem to have the same good health and vigour as the deer face. This has been attributed to selective breeding to create the cute little dogs that fashion has dictated, but not going to open that can of worms!

We have a rescue chihuahua. She is 8 and was used as a puppy mill mother. The rescue org did a lot for her before we got her. Now she loves to play but it took her months to get to that point. She still shies awaw if you put your hand out suddenly. Needed lots of pahtience and love. We love her.

My brothers dog, a 4 pound Chihuahua, came from the streets of Bakersfield..... He literally almost ran over her and while he was stopped looking around three truck for her, she came around and waited at his driver side door. That was 5 years ago now and the love they have for each other is immense!!!! Tinker Bell is her name.... My furneice....

She’s obviously a mix and a strong hardy dog. Smart too knows to stay away from cars. It’s truly amazing how she survived for 6 mos in the street. Must’ve been fed by someone(s).

My first shelter dog is a Pom chi and he was a stray in Sacramento picked up by a kill shelter and then rescued by my local grass valley shelter. Now he’s my boo! Danny kept Honey for about 2 years. But the opportunity for her to go to a bigger rescue and be adopted into a family that could give her even more one on one attention was the right thing to do for her. Danny would not have let her go if he didn’t think she would adjust and adapt quickly. Which she did and was adopted in only a matter of days. It was a very hard decision for him to make, but he feels it was the right one.

This story hits home for me because I am from Toronto Canada and i adopted a 3yo chiuhahua from Atlanta Georgia...he was a stray and im sure had a hard life because he had a few tears on his ear. But I think that gives him character. He has been with us for 3years spoiled as hek and has a 6yo pit sister who will protect him...ok she mostly steals his rawhide 😂🤣🤣🤣but Ive had her from a puppy and they are best friends. They clean eachother and when he knows he is in trouble she runs and hides right under her. Such a sight to see. Thank you again for taking the time to gain this chihuahuas trust.👏👏👏❤💙💚💜💜
