Not to mention that he's had 2 different recipes in the past month where he strongly urged his viewers to make his homemade ranch recipe and then he turns around to hawk Heinz's product. Yep, Sam could have used his own ranch and just added ketchup to his recipe. I'm sure he did it because he was remunerated very well but I'd much rather see him keep it real.

I picked up a garlic press and started using it instead of the jarred garlic. OMG! I just made the best sauteed green beans in my life last night with just salt pepper and properly timed crushed garlic. I made the best alfredo I have ever had a few weeks back because of it and your recipe. I keep garlic aioli around now because it is so easy and amazing. I use a lot more salt and pepper, I pull my chicken out for a bit before cooking, and a dozen other little techniques that have made everything better. I'm a Texan so not so big on baking ribs. I smoke them to get the smoky flavor and pink ring, eventually foil/butcher paper them, then take them out when almost totally done and most fat is rendered (removing from wrapping) to coat with sauce and put back on the smoker so the sauce congeals onto the ribs. Buffalo wild wings has some good Teriyaki, Mango Habinaro, and Asian Zing (sweet chili in British speak). Also BBQ sauce obviously, but stay away from watery sauces or reduce over stove before adding to ribs.

Made a variation of these today except with St. Louis ribs and on a smoker. They are exceptional.

Why cook ribs in the oven when you have a perfectly good smoker? They do look good though!
@TheDarthHobbes4 жыл бұрын
Exactly! They have two smokers (Komodo Grill and a Traeger) and they keep doing ribs "cheat style."
@dylancummings3984 жыл бұрын
@@TheDarthHobbes They are trying to film an episode and cook other food as well, they probably don't have 5 or 6 hours to just sit around waiting for the ribs to finish. Plus not everybody in the world can afford a 600 dollar smoker so he is trying to show people that you can still cook good ribs without all the super expensive equipment. His channel is about teaching regular people how to cook good food, it isn't going to help most people to watch him use super top of the line equipment that they can't afford lol

Cause there's more ways than one to cook.

@Dylan Cummings ...well, if you want to get cook good ribs they need some REAL smoke on them. I guess if you’re used to cooking ribs in an oven with vinegar then you have no idea what you’re missing. I’m sure they tasted fine. No need to get your panties in a wad.
@Vaeltis4 жыл бұрын
@@redstone5149 tell that to my deceased grandparents and family members that made the most bomb ribs in the oven. Not everyone grew up with smoking food as part of their culture. If you limit your views to so few possibilities you end up losing out on the chance to explore and learn different styles and techniques out there.

It was like watching a 20min commercial. Didnt feel authentic at all, and those ribs looked plain and boring. Hope the $$$ was worth it because 20mins of my life watching this was not.. (probably closer to 10-15 mins because i skipped a part of pure boredom and that the word Heinz was beeing said every 2min) With that said I hope you go back to "normal" because i generally enjoy your vids.

Pretty disappointing to see what amounts to a blatant advertising video on a channel I usually love. I hope this is not the shape of things to come on this channel.

Guy isn’t allowed to make a living?
@rvrmdude4 жыл бұрын
@@dstein111 Of course he is allowed. The man deserves more money. But the sponsoring inside the actual recipe makes it feel like an infomercial not a cooking and teaching show experience . Furthermore it takes away authenticity from the taste test and final reactions to the food. He's a great cook he makes a good show I wish him all the best but that type of sponsoring should not be the way to go. This is just my take on the subject hope you have a great day buddie.

@@rvrmdude I think he should have spinned it another way, and im sure Heinz would have said no to this, but He should have sold it as a quick way to make ribs and meatballs, and not try to sell it as a "great sauce" You will never get the same result as doing everything from scratch... He's also missing the rub... I think he could have put it in his smoker... its just one of those things... he could have spun it diffrently.
