Awesome first impressions! Thanks for sharing! For some reason, KZbin decided I hadn't watched this. I had. But, since it was in my suggested vids as "UnWatched" I watched it again.. 😎 I even liked again, and subscribed again!! Oh wait.. Can't subscribe twice.. Nevermind.. LOL But seriously, This was ONE of the vids I watched that helped me choose the Alpha and Bravo when I was shopping. (I agree 100% Best consumer grade peripherals to date) It's also one of the vids that made me want to subscribe to you in the first place. So glad I did, and you and your SimFans together have come such a long way.. Blue Skies!! 😁

the 2-point connector on the first lever from the left is not 3-point because if you configure the Bravo for a jet with thrust reverser throttles they go into the lever position 2 to 5, which have three points with one point being used for the reversers. The number one position is intended for the speed brake lever.

OOFT! . You have the very same setup as me, the notable exception being I am STILL waiting on my Bravo arriving. Same yoke, same pedals.... same mouse! Honeycomb disappointed me so much with their international order fulfilment that I'll be keeping my TPRs and avoiding the hassle of the Charlie pedals ordering!

Hi Denni, good stuff, isn't it? I know the Charlie pedals will be released at some point by Honeycomb but I can't see moving away from the TPRs. I'm sure the Honeycomb version will be a great value but will still be hard to compete with the TPRs; we'll see. I'm hoping I can snag a pair to review and put up against the TPRs. Good stuff all around. Thank you for watching the video and for commenting. Blue skies!!

Can the red lights on the Alpha be turned off? I just bought the Bravo and love it. Been considering getting a yoke (currently using a G940 stick).
@SimFanatic2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Most definitely. There is a small button on the back of the yoke that when pressed multiple times turns the lights brighter then off. You can cycle this by continuing to press the button. Blue Skies!!

@@SimFanatic Thank you for the information. I ordered the Alpha, it came yesterday. Love it too! Just finished mounting a Logitech switch panel to the Bravo. I didn't even know those screws on top where for that purpose. I was thinking of using 3m double sided automotive trim tape. Real glad I figured out those screws were for mounting things. The little book that came with it did not mention them at all, I don't think.

Im having issues with my throttle quadrant and was wondering if you could help me out? I originally had this issue (except with all of the levers) so checked the video in your description and it helped, except for some reason it only registers when I push in a lever. It doesn't hold and it slowly drops back to idle, despite the physical lever holding partial or full throttle. It makes it impossible to fly. Do you think you could help me with this?
@SimFanatic Жыл бұрын
Hi Troy, does the same problem exist with all of your planes? Do you only fly msfs, or do you use it with other simulators? Just trying to isolate the problem.
@troyandrade615 Жыл бұрын
@@SimFanatic I only play MSFS currently, but after a bit of research, I eventually went through and erased all controls from the throttle quadrant and reassigned them. Took a few hours but everything works properly now, except for my lights. They never turn on.

@@troyandrade615 Glad to hear it works Troy. As for the LED lights, nake sure before you load into a flight (you can do it from map view in msfs), that your AFC_Bridge.exe process is running in Windows task manager. If it isn't, your LED lights won't work. If you need help with determining this, let me know. Cheers!

Where the hell do you keep your keyboard? lol My problem is that the depth of both of them push my monitor too far back, and I have an under desk keyboard & mouse drawer, so the clamps are in the way. But I also fly mostly in VR, so the monitor thing isn't as bad. Curious, but do you temporarily mount them and then put them away off to the side? or do you leave them permanently install and use a different station as your main desktop? I'm thinking about building a wall "hanger" to hang them off of when not in use (to hang from the desk clamps) I wish they had done more with the autopilot panel, they should have included a dedicated Vert Speed wheel. I find myself getting confused a bit and having to "duck under" my Reverb in order to see where the knob is placed or to see the buttons. I might fix some of that with a few tactile touch pads to help guide me, but I'm wondering if someone will develop some sort of in-VR indicator to know where the selector is at without having to look (or remember, which I'm bad at)

Hi there and sorry for missing your question. I bought an adjustable height mobile laptop table for my keyboard (www.amazon.com/Seville-Classics-Mobile-Computer-Height-Adjustable/dp/B0097GMHXG/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=keyboard+table&qid=1613704444&sr=8-5) and put it to the left side of me when I fly. As far as mounting the alpha and bravo controls, i leave them mounted and can adjust the table linked above that I can slide underneath the controls and the clamps.

Thank you for the info. My question is: What computer do you need to run the Honeycomb and Flight Sim? I'm just starting out.
@SimFanatic3 жыл бұрын
Hello Strickland, thank you for watching and for commenting. Welcome to the wonderful world of flight simulation; you are going to love it! The nice thing about Microsoft Flight Simulator is you can adjust the settings to accommodate most PC setups. The computer I am using is about 4.5 years old and I have the following specs: CPU = i7-7700k GPU = Nvidia GeForce 1080 GTX (8GB VRAM) Memory = 32GB (you don't need this much memory, 16GB will do) Display = Alieware 34" Curved (3440x1440) I can tell you that I have most of my settings at medium with the above setup and usually get 32-40 fps (frames per second). You certainly don't need the specs I have noted above, but as usual, the faster the better so you can start bumping up your graphical settings. I am looking at building a new computer with the following specs: CPU = AMD Ryzen 9 5900x GPU = Nvidia Geforce 3070 (8GB VRAM); initally wanted to go with 3080 but they are impossible to find individually and even in pre-builts; plus 3080 is overkill for 2K display. Memory = 32GB 3200 Display = Keeping my Alienware 34" Curved If you have any further questions on a PC build or other, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help! Blue skies!!!

@@SimFanatic Thanks for the reply. I've done a lot more research on sims and I think I'm leaning towards the XForce Comet System. Several you tube videos show a 49" curved monitor which looks good to me. Now, where to buy them?

It's nice that you got your product. But I ordered mine last September and it's almost been a year now. I paid in advance. still waiting. I am well aware of the worldwide problem. But it just seems to me that honeycomb should have known that scalpers would ruin the entire market for the rest of us
@SimFanatic3 жыл бұрын
Wow! A year and nothing yet? That sucks. It sounds like HC is doing their best and changed how they handled the pre-orders on sales (second time around on the Bravo) but some things are out of their control. With the Pandemic, MSFS release, and world wide shortage problems, it was like the perfect storm. Hope you get your equipment soon friend. Good luck and Blue Skies! @SimFanatic3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that HBradley, I assume you went into the controls section of MSFS and tried unmapping the axis and remapping them? If not, try that. You can duplicate/copy the default settings for your controls and make changes so don't worry about messing anything up.
@swizzzlestix67813 жыл бұрын
Just got mine and had the same issue with none of the axis registering. Remapped and they work fine, with the exception of using the two engine commercial set up (haven’t tried 4 yet) the throttle would fluctuate mid flight (by 20% sometimes) when I was just cruising along. So need to work on that tomorrow to see if I can figure out what’s happening
