Your recipe it's legit! Take it from a mexican. The only thing different is that in traditional flour tortillas we use lard, (vegetable or pork) but I get that maybe you have other dietary needs. Anyway, thanks for letting a lot of people know more about Mexican cuisine. ¡Provechito!

My nine-year-old daughter made this recipe with very little supervision. She only needed help with the hot water and the skillet. Other than that, she made some delicious tortillas. And we knew what ingredient went in it. Thanks! This recipe is a keeper.

I'm one of those people who buys a pack of tortillas and it'll still be 75% full 6 months later. In fact, I have a pack in my fridge now that's been there over a month. LOL! I'm sure if it was fresh made, I'd eat it up, but that's true for all breads, especially flat breads. I prefer Lebanese pita as it's chewier. I buy it at the Middle Eastern grocer and freeze it and when I'm ready to eat, take one out to thaw and if I want it warm and soft, I steam it for like 30 seconds on each side. I had some this morning with ful (mushed fava beans and stuff) for breakfast this morning along with hummus. I'm almost vegetarian now. Ugh. LOL!

@@honeysuckle It's healthy...it will never be eggs, bacon, and sausage (I prefer lots of protein and savory for breakfast), but I've learned to tolerate it enough. I don't know that I'll ever LOVE it, but I can eat it and know it's healthier for me. Plus, I'm trying to eat more beans/legumes. We Viets know beans are dessert, but whatever. LOL!
