Yeah they're a rare breed of HK youngsters with independent thoughts. The foreign interference is vast and ongoing because successive HK executive governments have willingly ignored the problem. Some government executives actually proactively worked on behalf of the foreign governments to undermine our mother country - China.

"Free speech" is about speech, not about acting violently. It's about using words, not your fists.

Thank you, guys, for putting it perfectly clear. Violence and hate never go with democracy.

Good for you! You are pointing ☝️ the issue towards the right direction. Hong Kong is and should be truly a part of China. It's because of the evil of colonialism that Hong Kong is separated from the motherland.

Hmm, should be something like this: 1) there was actually no democracy during British rule. So thats why you get pigeon hole flats. 2) National security law actually part of the constitution in the handover agreement but anti China politicians delayed or opposed it. 3) liberal orgs and ngos were anti-china and influenced the young students after handover. 4) hk police were really professional and did a good job. The MOB took advantage and the media were biased and used extreme violence. 5) foreign secret agencies were in the forefront, involved in and funded and guided the violence. 6) traitors in the midst

One country, two systems or two islands. The distance between Hong Kong and Kowloon is 9.1km (5.6mi). The distance between New Zealand North and South Islands is 24km (14.9mi).

I agree, coming from singapore. My country and hong kong are very similar. Look deeply on how both places have historically managed by their government. Don't talk about freedom of speech, when your Housing, financial stability, security, racial bigotry, education, national identity are so bipolar. Freedom of speech DOES means accepting undesired as part and package. For hong kong case, your riots are totally BS. Look deep down on what happened in 2019. An extradition law meant to use LAWFUL ways. Any abuses of that law IS TO BE Chastised. You started using "riot bullet" BEFORE you can justifiably apply is UTTERLY STUPID. Your demands are very inconsistent. In the end, the rest of the world sees how you have turned blindeye to the murders in front of the video (setting fire, throwing brick,...) has shifted what your kind of idealogy has become. You have become your own monster, just like tian-an-men. Let's look at how US handle their capitol riot versus hong kong so-called "protestors". Hong kong government and police are much more benign than US government.

If beeing patriotic is to support what the one and only party in power dictate then Hong Kong don't have democraty any more.

As if you had it before. Do you know why western countries are working so hard selling democracy to other countries? Because then they can control the country through manipulating the election. Open your mind, don't just stick on ideology, look at it in more practical ways, I would rather support a government that really solves day to day problems, not the one making promises when campaigning and do nothing after get elected.

@@lianzijin5955 in democracy people can vote for change, actorian dictorship don't alow that. But at the end the people chose any leader that promises a better live. Bad democratic leader is removed peacefully by election, dictatorship is removed with violence. Off course weak state is toppled and controlled by foreign government.

@@len2063 "weak states toppled and controlled by foreign govt" wow! How very USA of you. No wonder you are bashing China bcos you cannot get to control China so you are hoping to do so by manipulating Hong Kong. Sorry you failed! Now you are sourgrape. China has a good govt and growing rapidly to become no. 1. I say CPC should keep up the excellent job. So pray tell what's so wrong with China?

@@charlescheechien8529 what is bad in China? First a plauge called covid-19, then we have called dictorship, no free spech or free press, no rule of the law. And some concentration camps... Have I forgot anything?

We should question what’s so great about democracy? In a democratic society like America does the govern care about the people? Is there equality? Is there really freedom if you are a minority race. We should address efficiency of government and a system that reward meritocracy and equality.
@Lilib130
@Lilib130 3 жыл бұрын
We should ask first what IS real democracy, specially nowadays and where in the world it exists.
@lianzijin5955
@lianzijin5955 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Forget about ideology, ask yourself, is most of people's lives better than 3 years ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago? If not, the government is incompetent. If the system couldn't produce a competitive government, the system doesn't work. Then you need to think what can be done to improve the system and make it work. There's never a system suite for every place, it needs constant improvement. Why people always stick to the meaningless democracy? Could anyone find any country in the world that is successful because of democracy?
