Hello Vagabrothers! Greetings from Hong Kong. It's great to know you're in town! Apart from Mong Kwok, I'd also recommend going to Sham Shui Po. There're a lot of authentic local food and you can really see the "other side of Hong Kong" there, i.e. all sorts of electronics and accessories from the newest to cheapest, the ethnic minorities and the shocking cage home for almost half of the HK population. It's crazy how the richest in town live in Central and the poorest are in Sham Shui Po - andthey are just few metro stops away! P.S. The escalators in Central are the only on-top-of-ground escalator we have in HK. So it's not a common scene to find ;) Great video though!

That brought back memories ! Bought a pair of sandals at he Chung King Mansions after my shoe broke while waiting for the Star Ferry. Paid 5 bucks for the sandals and then ran back to the hotel we were staying at as a huge Typhoon was bearing down. Proceeded to pay 20 bucks for a pot of coffee! It was June it was hot it was fantastic! Thanx guys for taking me back there!

I am so glad you guys went to Hong Kong! Other things that you guys can do in Hong Kong is to experience the nature there. Roughly 40% of Hong Kong land are country parks. In areas like Sai Kung and Lantau Island, there are amazing hiking trails and beaches and of course seafood markets as well. If you really want to go to an unique place, go to Tai O or "Venice of Hong Kong". It's a fishing village where all the houses are on stilts. Hard to get to but really worth a visit.

I am from Hong Kong, I grew up with fish ball, stinky tofu (in order to taste good for stinky tofu, you have to add their sweet sauce). Stinky tofu is actually fermented tofu, is healthy. Yummy.

Welcome to Hong Kong! It was a nice quick intro of The town. I’d say a lot of the food do not “classify” as “street food” since they are more like restaurants has outdoor seatings. And that razor clam is really DA BOMB!!! A tip to travel around in HK for tourists is to get one of the tourist Octopus card. It’s a stored value electronic wallet that can be used in most public transports, convenience stores, supermarkets and etc. The difference between a regular octopus and a tourist one is that you can get the deposit back in full if you return back in a short period of time (matter of days). Day passes are not really that useful since you don’t really travel on the metro that often. And I salute you both in trying stinky tofu! I personally love it but not very many foreigners do lol
