The only comment on Star rail for me is that what does the Honkai stands for there's literally no mention about anything Honkai related lmao it's just the characters are inspired from Honkai, but Genshin does that too So yeah maybe they'll explain it in the future idk since rn only welt knows about the Honkai (Maybe stellaron and Aeons are Honkai beings just with a different name? That's what i theorized at least), yeah so far Star rail isn't making much sense on why it has Honkai on it's name it's not even a sequel to Hi3 either

I feel like there’s way too many characters. Let’s remember that honkai literally had 4 to begin with. Either there’s going to be lots of shallow characters, or there’s going to be way too much dialogue just as hoyo futilely attempted to add lore to characters in Genshin. The honkai system is way better, variations of the same character so you can add more content, without having to make a whole new character.

Excuse me what? 4? Which 4 characters are you even talking about? Also Honkai has ALOT of characters. Not every one of them is playable tho. If every character was playable then the roster would be way bigger than it already is. Let me list them for you: Male characters (we all knew damn well they would never be playable except for Adam): Kevin-Su-Kalpas-Kosma-Otto-Siegfried-Joachim-Joyce-Gray Serpent-Owl etc… Unplayable Female characters: Cocolia-Wendy-Cecilia-Einstein-Tesla-Shrodinger-Ana Schariac-Sirin-Bella-Sirin’s three other friends-Cheng Lixue-Shigure Kira-Sushang-Patricia Highsmith-Niggurath-Salome-Lewis-Ragna-Fuxi & Nuwa-Jackal-Sin Mal-Susannah-Xuanyaun-Sora-Nagamitsu etc… There are many others of course but I thought that these are enough

@@savior0549 Clearly you are not OG. To start with, there was simply Kiana, Mei, Bronya and Himiko. There were no other playable characters. Ultimately, the characters you don’t play as, don’t need to be fully fleshed out. Because you are not assuming the role of that character. You are not playing as that character. Eventually they would introduce new characters, Yae Sakura first then Teresa afterward. Teresa had already been present and introduced before her release and Yae Sakura got a whole open world area dedicated to her story (as empty as it is tbf but at least there were cutscenes). Every playable character that they have ever introduced, is still present in the story. Even the Olenyevas who are the least present. However, Genshin impact will have a new expansion, add a brand new never before seen character to the game, have a questline for it, cram in as much lore as they can for that specific character, maybe have a few cameos from one or two other characters, and move on to the next one. I could not give a shit about any character apart from the protagonist (the sibling and pimon are just extensions to the protagonists story), Jean, Zhongli, Venti, Ninguang. Because those are the only real relevant characters with story that isn’t just contained to themselves. Honkai started with few characters and had years to slowly build on it. Genshin started with loads and is trying to build all of it at once. Honkai is a mighty tower, with well laid foundations that’s only being built up higher with floors adding on top. Genshin has a naively large foundation which could possibly house a much larger and grander building than honkai, but the ground floor isn’t even done. They keep widening the foundations without actually building anything on top. I would applaud Genshin if the next character they added was Child with his electro vision instead. That would allow for some space in development of other much more needed things.

@@monkaeyes3417 yes I’m not an OG. And I agree with all of your points. But having a small roster in the beginning of the game is kinda empty (especially in a game as big as Star Rail). For now we have like 23 playable characters and 8 of which are counterparts of the characters in Honkai (except for Welt and maybe Silver Wolf?). Tho I do hope they focus on the characters more and not add a whole new one every new version.

@@savior0549 I'm not an OG honkai player but an OG genshin player, so what they need to do is not copy how genshin flat out just drops a series of negligible characters with shallow lore and a whopping relevance of 1 version, then completely forgotten afterwards. Aside from the fact that NONE of the characters in genshin have important development (similar to how Hua becomes Senti, or Raiden becomes HoT and leads a long long story in ER as the MC), the mc of genshin literally has no focus on their goal, nor do they have any development at all. Archons are useless and turning you into a pushover to help their region, Genshin seems to care more about festivals than showing Dainsleif in the story, which is about the singular character who actually is lore-relevant.

The things is though, if there were only 4 characters not every may be interested in the characters. Like if it was just March 7, Kafka, danheng, and gepard I think I wouldn’t be as interested

For Genshin, I hate atk buff stacking, and never use character like Bennett. I made it a point that all my character are strong individually, from Qiqi to Raiden, and can be slapped into any mess of a team with my skill and timing compensating for the rest. It also mean that aside from team specifically made for reaction, like swirl or tazer, I really dont care about the big melt or vape all that much. I do combo stuff, of course, but usually it is unga bunga, rather than mathing things out for optimal dmg number. For turn base game tho, my enjoyment is exactly based on buff stacking and dmg number go up. I love having a 3 support and one nuke combo that can one shot anything. So it will be a drastically different experience. Cant wait to see what can be done.

Theory: That voice Su meet in the last page of Second Key manga is one of the Aeons, my supporting evidence: in ch 10 Bronya ask Einstein "Is it possible to travel into different universe if u reach the bottom of SoQ?" Einstein said she doesn't know since no one ever reach it, meanwhile Su does reach it and he probably transported into Star Rail Universe.

I enjoy turn based , i play Epic Seven a lot. A lot of Epic Seven stuff was taken in there. The speed stat is one of it. Such a shame that this game wont have any PvP so it loses it turn based value

@@illusion6661 the game is not a sequel to honkai impact 3rd. The game does not continue the story of honkai impact 3rd. The game is not about Valkyries. How would himiko be alive?
