The Las Vegas world is called Penacony the Planet of Festivities. Penacony is a ex prison planet turned Hotel where everyone enters a shared dream which is most of what you explore in game. The main arc of Penacony just ended and it was fantastic. It had a better story then some games I pay full price for. The Michael Jackson character, Aventurine's, story alone was amazing. He went from an almost universally hated character to an almost universally loved one. He must be protected at all costs

@MessiahPicaro there's an Epilogue in 2.3. The main story with Ena is probably over. We'll get some loose ends tied up and we'll probably get the start of the IPC's fight for takeover. I mean it seems likely to me that we're going to Point Pier soon given the amount of screen time the IPC is getting.

@readytopay1488 my personal guess is we're going to get a companion quest with Firefly. There's far too many loose ends with her. There's going to be hell if they don't address it in some form ether main story or Companion quest I think the main thrust of the story mission is going to be about the IPC though. They've been setting up Jade far too much.

9:48 - This is weird, because these two trailers are out of order. The space station under attack is the first story in the game, and the guy dreaming is a teaser for the 3rd story. Interesting. 10:54 - Bethany is correct. You're assuming it's tea. (Plot twist: it's just coffee) The "box cats" are called Cat Cakes, actually. 23:56 - Correct! Penacony is based on Las Vegas. In fact they did a lot of advertising in Vegas because of that. If the trailer feels like an acid trip, just know that the world is supposed to take place in a collective Dream. Basically you show up to the world, book a room at the hotel, hop into your dream pod, then wake up in Vegas with everyone else and go have fun. So there might be an area with giant floating whales, or there may be bubbles you can purchase that will show you fantastic images or memories, or even a sweet alcoholic drink that you can overindulge in and later just vomit out rainbows to make yourself feel better. You can't die in a dream, right? There's nothing bad in a sweet dream, right? You can stay as long as you want, and do whatever you want in a dream, as long as you can afford it. Right? Anyway, Star Rail is... interesting with their trailers. Because it was kind of lack luster in 2023 until 2.0 (Penacony aka Vegas) was about to drop. They then pulled out all the stops for advertising and trailers and teasers. There's actually a lot of teasers they did, that were not included in this (and they don't have to be). The Vegas story has been phenomenal, and the trailers are accurately portraying it now. Thank you for the video!!

I just realized Penacony have a lot of Hollywood influences too. 🤯 Like acting that’s heavily implied and Robin being inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Penacony’s dreamland is also inspired by Inception, a movie based on dreams.

Don't worry, the playlist order was the trailer release order -- so if you were confused, you were right there along with the rest of us. As you noted around 11:20, the first part was pre-release trailers that hinted at storylines for the first year of the game; after that mark came the release trailer and the version trailers.

the only thing that the first trailer was for CBT2, and the next one for CBT1 (you'll notice that if you listen to March's voice: it's different. her VA was changed somewhere between CBT1 and CBT2)

"vegas" is Penacony it's the newest world. To be fair. Earlier trailers were trying to show of gameplay and general concepts of the art and game to newer audience. The story has always been great in HSR and Penacony was the 1 year anniversary celebration and it's really been their best world yet. But they all have their charm to be fair. Penacony has been my favorite as a player.

Ironically, while it's true that the Penacony arc does have greater quantity of story, most of that story is due to an in-universe push to force as much potential story to be actualized at the same place and time. In other words, a lot of that story isn't directly connected and the density intentionally gets in the way of understanding what's going on and why.

lol yeah the "Vegas" (Penacony) arc feels different cuz Shaoji was in charge of that story and uhhh lets just say it has a different tone from the other arcs (looks at Elysium Realm fearfully). Thankfully Penacony has been more forgiving then a certain other story arc he was in charge of 😅

4:44 the Yellow Eye Girl is the Female MC, the Male MC is seen at 7:07 unlike Honkai Impact or Genshin impact, both genders get featured in the Trailers. The Females Name is Stelle, while the Male goes by Caelus 11:22 thats the official Launch Trailer, more like a anime opening and at 18:03 that little girl is lynx and shes a healer, thats why there is such a big pill 23:23 Thats the Opening for Penacony, the newest Planet for the Story, which just ended 2 weeks ago with the main story of that arc I can Recommend that you watch the Concert from May 1st, which features a ton of Ingame music and Trailer Music, or every Boss Fight Music because they are all so good

But actually going through with it requires time to invest into and they got too many people are wanting them to look at other franchises at same time. And the only things they do have time for are either short games, or franchises they’re already familiar with, like Mortal Kombat.

With this game being made after Genshin, they did a lot of improvements when it comes to how they tell the story. I know you two like Paimon a lot, but a big part of the fandom absolutely hate her for repeating stuff that was already established, and for you two that’s a good thing because you’re not actually playing. For others it’s an annoyance and they were very vocal about it. HSR is more direct, but there’s a lot of information you wouldn’t really get from watching cutscenes alone. This games got a lot of lore for people that actually play the games. Not to say Genshin doesn’t have that either. Both have vast amounts of lore, but ones more fantasy and the other Sci-Fi, so up to your preferences.

It's weird how many of the trailers feature the male version of the main protagonist, since virtually nobody plays him. Stelle is essentially the cannon protagonist. Male Stelle (whatever his name is) only exists for people who like to make bad decisions in life.

There are a lot of Caelus players though, just not much fanart and stuff. You only say Stelle is canon because people started out talking about her often and fanart of her everywhere. They use both MCs for trailers and animations equally compared to Genshin Impact. Just because you don’t like Caelus dosent mean everyone dosent (and this is coming from a stelle player because I chose Aether in Genshin and wanted a change)
