this is good if you dont want to tune down in the middle of a set or carry a bunch og guitars for every open tuning. i think the guy nails it here.

So you don’t have to tune your guitar to open G. That’s always a pain in the ass. It’s better in open G of course but it’s nice to be able to pull off a reasonable facsimile in standard tuning for when you’re feeling too lazy to tune it properly.
