My friends and I just ate here last night! Checked in around 530, with maybe 5 parties also waiting and got sat at 615. By the time we left around 730, half the tables were empty and no wait! Our chicken and lamb in the curries we got were kinda tough, but we liked it! Service was good too.

Hello Misty, We love Indian food. We haven't really tried to get Indian food when we were in Hawaii due to the limited time we have there. Besides it is easy to get good Indian food in the mainland. However you convinced me to try Indian restaurant in Oahu and maybe we will in the future. And I wanted to thank you for your kind comment on my camara skill. It is greatly appreciated ❤😊.

Hi Misty , if there was Butter Chicken on the menu , I’m a sucker for that flavour. All the food you ordered looked generous. BraddahTaz description of the Samosa Chaat “a deconstructed meat pie” was spot on the way the way he described the flavour and enjoyed it ! Mmmm the leftovers , how good are leftovers the next day ! Love it😋😋😋😋😋 Cheers Rod 🤙

Aloha Misty! So awesome!! This brings me back to India!🇮🇳I hope you're able to go there and all the foods are so cheap. The Mango Lassi with nuts looks good and love the Pani Puri and Samosa. I don't think I've had the Garlic cheese Naan so I might have to visit here. At 11:30 that treat reminds me of the Rasgulla I had in India but that thing was super sweet. I appreciate you showing us all the Indian food.😋Mahalo for another great review👍🤙

Aloha Sean and Nhi! Yes one day I will go there although I think it looks a bit too exhausting to me. Maybe I'll go to a more mellow state like Kerala or Pubjab. Dehli looks intense! I think that dessert may be similar to what you had! They had a bunch of other desserts too but we were too stuffed! Mahalo again for watching and waiting for your next video! 😊🤙

That food looks hella good! No one I know has tried Tadka yet so this came in with perfect timing. Excited to hear you guys enjoyed it, looking forward to try some myself, especially the pani puri! Sidenote: hopefully won't see anyone with the gull to wear a "Don't China my America" shirt, especially here where we ultimately celebrate all our locals regardless of existing prejudices
@FoodFiend
@FoodFiend 4 ай бұрын
I hope you enjoy it! And I'm not so familiar with that shirt. I guess I'm living under a rock but I don't think anyone would wear that here in Hawaii. There's a big difference to me between the government and the people. Chinese people are very generous and hardworking. ✊️

Mahalo Urs! Hopefully I can find time to get together again. I've been so busy woth my real job so it's hard. We have some places we are interested in. Usually it is not the normal foods local people would be interested in because he is open minded in trying the food with me. Definitely try Indian food! It is sooo good! This place or Cafe Maharani is the best so far on the island.

Aloha and Kung Hee Faat Choy Misty and Braddah Tatz: Nice to see such great, and reasonably priced, dishes of Indian food in Honolulu. I still remember the days when there was only one Indian Restaurant in Honolulu. If you are in California, you are in the San Jose-area, you should try an Indian buffet restaurant, where you can sample a variety of dishes, roti and naan! Great collaborative vlog. Best wishes for a great “Year of the Dragon” to you, family and friends! 🧧Much 🤙, my fellow 🐯!

Kung Hee Fat Choy Bill! Happy year of the Dragon to you and your ohana. Yes they used to be hard to come by, but now there's many choices of Indian Restaurants here. I do love Indian buffets and tried my first Indian food at a buffet in Maryland where my friend took me. A great value! Wish we had them here. I'll keep yours in mind if we ever head your way. Have a great weekend! 🤙🌈

Looked super yummy. I haven't had Indian in a few months. I really like the food from southern India, in general, the best. Most of my friends thru the years were from the south. I might have to go find me a dosa later today.
@FoodFiend
@FoodFiend 5 ай бұрын
Go get you that dosa! 🤣 I think I like northern style better. Since I'm a carnivore and I like naan so much. Dosa I can't get with because of the fermentation. I'm a weirdo and don't even like sourdough bread. Hope you find the dosa today!

Hi Misty!! Wow the crunch from the Pani Puri sounded amazing. The Samosa Chaat looked delicious with the chickpeas mashed down. That’s pretty interesting that they have mutton available for the curry as a protein option. Naan so always sooo good. We really enjoyed the Lal Mohan from Neha’s Kitchen (Nepali food truck there) so their Gulab Jamun seems to be similar if not the same thing. Definitely need to try Indian food again as I (Michelle) ate it often growing up in high school when going to friend’s houses (mostly northern regional dishes). Mahalo for another great foodie adventure and Happy Aloha Friday!!

I think some regions use mutton a lot. I know all the 'burgers' in India are made of mutton instead of beef if there's meat in it. It's so interesting how there's similarities between Indian food and Nepali food although they share borders. Mahalo for watching Michelle & Jose! You're so lucky to have eaten Indian food while growing up!

I'm not a lamb fan either. Tried it several times. I only ate lamb 1 time that I liked it. I think it was a chop. All that food looked so ono. I buy Tasty Bites Indian food for my fix. I buy it a lot for work lunch. My co-worker loves it too. Not sure if you ever heard of it or seen it in your stores. Aloha Pono

Aloha Carol! I've had Tasty Bites but can't eat certain ones anymore. I'll tell you a story if we get together LOL. Nothing to do with a food. Awesome! It's like a crunchy kaki mochi like cracker, but not made out of rice. That's the best to describe it for a local with onions, sometimes peppers, and mashed potato inside with the sauce. If you live on the west side, there's Simply Indulge at Wai Kai on Thursdays. It's an Indian mom and her son who make pani puri and other Indian dishes. You can just get the pani puri and not commit to a whole plate. It is very hard to find here. She has 2 different sauces. We showed that on our Christmas Wai Kai video if you're interested.
