Damn, yeup thats a deal breaker because micro USB cables get shoddy over time. Have the same USB-C cable with my LG G5 these years later and it works fine, no having to wrap over the face to get a charge. Its down to the Nokia 6.1, G6 Plus and Xiaomi Mi A1 for the wife...

I've got this and I must say it is amazing I can promise you that you won't get a phone better than this for under £200 it is amazing. I got this as I destroyed my Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 as it was near my flat window (Top flour flat) with the window open, went to shut the window and knocked it and fell onto concrete. That phone cost me near £300 and my budget was tight and seen this for £170 (Sim free car phone warehouse) and I must say I got a shock this phone is fantastic and haven't noticed any lagging or anything like that its better than the phone I had and much cheaper. Also you can pay £700 on an iPhone 8 and still get massive bezals look at the Honor 9 the bezals are much smaller. This phone is just amazing for the price and would recommend it to anyone it is so underated.

For the price the camera is fantastic and does everything I want it to do. Photos are usually clear and so far I haven't had any problems. I'm not a photographer so don't know much about cameras and I'm not really a selfie type of person all I can really say is the photos I have taken have been fantastic photos for the price range. Is that helpful?

John Joshua Juta Nope. Haven't noticed anything yet. Sometimes I will be on Facebook or KZbin for over 2 hours and the phone seems to keep at a resealable temperature.

Now on sale for just £120 and a Galaxy s9 is £700, is the s9 5 times better will it last 5 times longer, I doubt it's 5 times faster etc etc. It's one hell of a price to pay and you get s huge amount for your money. As for gaming I'd not choose to pay close to £1000 for a phone to play games on.

Tech prices don't scale like that due to diminishing returns so the higher the price the smaller the differences you're paying for so that's a terrible way to look at it tbh.

Dont worry about the battery, an hour of charging can last you a day and 5hours of heavy use including data more than half of the time. And not to mention I haven't drop the phone spec to save battery or any of its battery savers

I've just bought one of these for a spare no frills phone , I'm ' speechless '....They are absolutely amazing! gonna do a video against my Huawei p20 pro and I can't see where the extra £500 quid is between them in respect to performance. I wasn't gonna bother with a case or screen protector but wow ! this Honor p lite deserves one . Would I recommend one ?!?! Oh yes , period

I’m sick of my I phone and was going to get this. I only use phone for Facebook FaceTime and some pictures during the days of my wee boy and horses so hoping this will do as don’t want to spend a fortune on a phone this close to Christmas it’s only £110 online . Thanks for the review

I use my phone to watch videos on KZbin and elsewhere, use fairly low intensity apps (pretty much basic-function apps) go on the internet, switch between apps regularly, take pictures and occasionally record video. Can the phone do these things without me wanting to throw it against a wall like I want to do with my current phone?

Just got this device and tbh I thought it would be a bit better. The display doesn't look great to me as I've kinda been spoiled by Samsung Apple and Lg displays and even touching the screen doesn't feel as accurate as it should be. I find that I get some miss presses so I have to try and be extra precise with what I'm trying to touch (kinda like those really cheap tablets but not as bad) and this makes it hard to play rhythm games on it as well. I just needed to get a device as my current one broke and I opted for this but I can't recommend it to anyone. You're better off going for another device. The other things mentioned in the review like the 64GB of internal storage and such are nice to have though but the good points don't make up for my issues with this device in my 3 hours of using it

Mine (in the UK) does not include an Equalizer function. In the Sound settings the Equalizer option says None. This is resulting in very flat sound. Volume is ok.

I'm really torn. This phone seems to be a touch below par in the camera department, but on the other hand it has what I'm looking for: no notch or other nonsense, and lightweight, which is getting near impossible to find in a sea of bulky, over 200 g phones.

Between this and the Honor 9 Lite (what is a few quid cheaper) which phone can give me a battery life (in normal/general use) easily for a full day, a camera that shows natural/true to life photos with faster autofocus, less oversaturated photos & better low light) & with some form of electronic stabilization, app loading with almost zero refresh, louder speakers which I can hear in a bus or London Tube and a great sunlight legibility? (Unlike my old P8 Lite) and would you say updates are as quick/slow as other Android OEMs? And is there a dark theme that u can apply to the phone even on the Settings? Quick GPS lock?

One of the things that is starting to come to light is Huawei / Honor poor audio quality/distortion over Bluetooth. With a good quality headset or car stereo it sounds awful for me and others. Problem is on P10 / P9 and Mate, prob others. Lots of people on XDA picking up on it but no reviewers have afaik. Listening to the headphone jack then over bluetooth is night and day never come across this before even on budget phones from years ago!

I have heard the camera is quite bad in low light capabilities amd quality is on the cool side, speakers are so-so and performance can slow and stutter. For a bit more I can get a Moto G5 Plus for £199 with more vanilla Android, nano coating and front facing camera. Thoughts?
