There is no such thing as an IP8, you probably mean an IPX8 rating, when it comes to IP rating 1st number means dust resistance and it's only up to 6, while 2nd number is water resistance and it's up to 8

If you specify if the rating is water or dust, then you can just use IP8. In test during the water test you don't use a rating scale with the x because you don't need it, you are doing water test first. Same goes for dust tests. It's only when combining the test results that you have to write ip68, ipx8 ecc. But again you can say water resistant with IP8 rating and it is not wrong.

Frist thing, yes I believe Samsung could def do better with specs. The main problem I have with all these bash Z fold videos is this: a) they are region specific - it's a crapshoot to working in the US, until there is true and confirmed global acceptance from US carriers these other brands lose credibility b) they never show any long term real world usage, they only promote specs and hardware, never any time going over the software in depth, and comments backing up that these brands have good software, show some proof, until then it's all hearsay. c) the z fold may not have the best hardware specs but def a better well rounded phone which is what they are aiming at. If you want specs they have the S24 ultra.

My personal feedback: 1. I don't live in Asia so I'm unaware if you can purchase this phone in the USA.? 2. Also, in doing my research, the Honor website has a lot to be desired with regards to providing a level of professionalism and having a clear-cut means of purchasing/pre-ordering this phone. 3. Samsung's ZF6 is only $900 when factoring a trade-in of a ZF4.... 4. Samsung's name and QC alone is worth making the investment. There is very little history on the Honor company/products in the USA. 5. Historically speaking, just because one is the first to market (in this case Honor MV3), it doesn't often turn out to be (long term) the best. IMHO

Comparing in terms of a raw foldable, magic v3 is slimmer, is drop resistant provided by sgs Switzerland 5 star certification and a better pwm dimming frequency compared to vivo. When we take in terms of software, of course magic os is far better than funtouch os.
