I am an OR nurse and I did 3 organ surgery to be donated from different parts of the country. We usually start at 11 pm and different teams are in place so that whatever is donated goes straight to the recipient hours before transplant. I usually cry after all the surgery is done and over with as I clean up the donors body with respect and praises. I pray all throughout the bathing and thanking him or her for giving others a chance and also for the family’s sacrifice of letting go of their family member. I am also an organ donor because I do believe in giving others second chances. Who knows they may have not yet fulfilled their mission or purpose in life and being a recipient of these organ donors is giving them that chance to find it and fulfill it. God truly works in mysterious ways. God bless the donor and his family and also the recipients.

Those mothers gave life to other mothers They taught me a young nurse without children to appreciate even more the life I had and when my babies were born I remembered each and every donor I worked with. I remembered each and every sacrifice those families did in an effort to give someone they did not know a new chance at life. I tell my boys how much I live them and hug them each and every day. My heart goes out to y’all. I know this Christmas is going to be such a difficult one for you. That last part of the video is important. Because of this sweet, generous life, he saved 3 others. You can rest easy, at least, in knowing that he’s a hero. And know that he’s not in pain; he’s celebrating his first Christmas with the One it’s all about. Right now, he’s getting to be with Jesus, Himself. And that is a celebration beyond anything we can imagine right now.

Well said, I couldn't have said it better but what a horrible time of year to lose someone you love so very much. Every yr going forward will be that much harder to celebrate. It's hard for me I haven't celebrated any holiday since summer of 2013. My mom died July 10th 2013 and I fell apart in every way.

I lost my beautiful sister in 2016..she was an organ donor but unfortunately her organs were unable to be donated. This video flooded back soooo many memories of her last day here on earth and I couldn't help but cry the whole time watching this..

Oh my Lord Jesus! This hit my heart. Oh how I cried. Bless this young man, his family, and this loving church family. He barely joined the church and they lovingly embraced him. Courtney gave three people a chance at life. That honor walk in the hospital was so so heartfelt. Lord you are good. Thank you Lord Jesus. Only YOU could have orchestrated this. Thank you Jesus for Courtney and all those who loved him. What a deep powerful testimony. Thank you Jesus!!!

Simply amazing watching the staff stand along the walls and pay respect. Hospital staff members bless so many families in different ways. In home going celebrations like this or continuing life her on earth. Thank you.

We travel the world questioning our purpose in life... sometimes never knowing, sometimes your purpose is fulfilled upon death. Giving the gift of an organ is by far one og the greatest gifts. Thank you💖

It was lovely to see how strong his family were in the highly emotional time. My own brother passed 18 months ago suddenly from a work place accident. He would have wanted to donate but sadly there was too much damage for him to get that with. Well done for making that happen for someone
