Why do people hate so much, firstly the prime rule for foundation is that it has to match the rest of your body, especially when the body is spray tanned. You don't want a pale face and a tanned body, you'll look like a clown. Secondly they are obviously friends and know each other, so they are playing around and being sarcastic, she's not just a "client", obviously any make up artist would never act like this with a normal client. Thirdly I also saw comments saying guys wouldn't date a "clown", if you don't like girls who wear makeup then don't date them and don't talk to them, nobody needs your over rated opinion. The makeup done in this video was beautiful and obviously wouldn't be worn for everyday use. People are so judgemental please just think and do your research before you comment

This is criticism so please don´t read unless you want my two cents (not correct but my opinion). When you´re applying concealer especially that light compared to foundation I think it looks best to keep the concealer strictly about the end of the nose to avoid a ¨foundation beard look" if you know what I mean. Eyebrows of course are best left darkest at the ends and middle, use a shade lighter and feather out the front. It´s nice to apply blush not on the apples of the cheeks but above and to the sides below highlighter (because when you´re not smiling you cheeks are lower and you want to avoid a sinking face). Highlighter on the end of the nose should be very subtle to look more natural whereas if you want strong highlight go for the cheekbones. If you want to raise a hooded eye then it´s best to apply eyeshadow mostly with eyes open or checking constantly to see how the shadow sits with the hood. The shadow ombre is flattering to a hooded eye but it would help if the shadow wasn´t brought out as much as it is. Her eyes are looking droopy and that can be avoided using very vertical with liner or sticking to little eyeliner. LASHES ARE HUGE FOR HOODED EYES (I have hooded eyes) because they´re vertical and pull the eye up and down. I´m sorry this is so much shallow criticism but it´s what I´ve gathered from a couple years of research, not that I´m right though.

@karadeaton33439 жыл бұрын
She has more space above her crease than she has in her lid. You can tell how small her eyelids are. I think that counts as hooded eyes.
@valerie46979 жыл бұрын
+november132 My understanding of hooded eyes is the crease area fold over and covers part of the mobile lid. Which she does not have. You can see her entire lid...
@alexiswatt44169 жыл бұрын
Yes, she does have hooded eyes. I have eyes similar to hers and I also have to apply my crease color above my crease, otherwise you won't see it lol because my eye socket it deep. A while ago, I wouldn't think she had hooded eyes either but she does, they're just not as severe as some others lol. I had a guest the other day, that when she opened her eyes, you couldn't even see the lid color. D:

May I please just say that this is the answer to my go-to glamorous look prayers. Much like Brittney, I have tanned skin, blonde hair, and hooded, hazel/brownish eyes. I have tried SO many different looks from SO many different beauty bloggers and KZbin instructors. The problem is, that MANY of them have light skin and dark hair. Either 1. I've had to really work to recreate the look in a darker version that actually showed up on my face, or 2. it just looked COMPLETELY different on me than it would on a dark-haired girl. This is it. It has just enough warmth and drama for me, and it's one of the few wings I've seen that doesn't look just ridiculous on a hooded eye! So thank you thank you thank you! I'm looking forward to playing it down as well for something I can wear on a more daily basis. Also, I will be subscribing to Brittney's channel as well, since what works for her, I'm 99% sure will work for me. Thank you!!

+Zoe Morris I'm not trying to be rude but how is it applied badly?
@zoemorris32148 жыл бұрын
Her style of makeup that she likes to apply is what looks bad, not the application itself. Instagram brows, heaps of contouring and highlighting and 16 layers of foundation might look good on camera but in real life you kind of look like a clown. Not trying to be rude or anything, if this type of makeup makes you happy go for it. I just believe that makeup should be used to enhance your features that you already have, not change them.

To everyone confused to whether she has hooded eyes or not, she does, but not profound hooded eyes. Her crease folds onto her lids a little, making for hooded eyes. If have hooded eyes but more profound than hers just put your crease colours slightly higher than your actual crease :) I can see that it could be confusing though because her hoods are not very noticeable- however if someone without hooded eyes was compared to her eyes there is a slight difference :). Hope this helped? (I'm no professional but this is my understanding and ps I have pretty profound hooded eyes)

personally I cannot CANNOT use concealer as an eyeshadow primer because it creases every time. when I was a beginner I CONSTANTLY experimented with concealer as primer and it would always crease, I realized it was because of my OILY skin and lids so I have to use actual primer which is fine because it LEGIT helps my eyeshadow Stay on all day or night. another thing, I can't put foundation on my lips and leave it there. I always wipe it off when I'm gonna put on my lipstick because leaving the foundation on my lips and then layering lipstick on top makes it look so cakey on my lips and it feels heavy as well.

+Lizdeliz Perez I know you didn't want my help but I thought I'd tell you everything I know about makeup hygiene for clients: 1. You should never, ever double dip into a product. If you do what she did here with the doe foot applicator and the concealer, you will cross contaminate your product with bacteria and oil from that client's face. It's fine if it's that person's concealer or product that only they're going to use, but if you're using it on different clients, you should either use a disposable doe foot applicator, a brush that you can clean afterwards and disinfect or a spatula and mixing palette. This goes for any product that isn't a powder that you dip brushes or applicators into. 2. Of course, always wash and sanitize your hands, especially if you are going to touch the person's face or mix products on your hand. If you don't want to use products on the back of your hand, a spatula and mixing palette are more hygienic and easier to use. If you don't want to touch the client's face, use a powder pouf on your pinky of the hand that will rest on their face. 3. Spray powder products with rubbing alcohol and wipe with tissues to keep them free of bacteria. People don't realise that there is bacteria being transferred since they are powder, but they do harbour it. 4. Wipe any pencils with rubbing alcohol and a tissue to keep them bacteria free from client to client. 5. Wash your brushes after every single use on a client. If you're only working on one client that day, do it at the end of the day. If you're working on several that day, you should really have several sets of brushes to use or a spot cleaner such as the brush cleaners you buy in bottles should be used in between clients. Don't use the same brushes on two different people if they have already been used or aren't clean. If you want a good, cheap way to clean your brushes, I suggest the Dr. Bronner's soap and rinse then under warm water, then leave them to air dry. 6. If you plan on using lipstick from the tube (even with a brush), clean it with a tissue and rubbing alcohol as you will be using it on the client's mouth and will get bacteria onto it. 7. Try not to use your hands on clients and instead use brushes. 8. Beauty Blenders are not hygienic to use on clients. Just like brushes, you must clean them after every use and they are hard to clean. Unless you have a ton of them that you can change up, I don't recommend using them. If you only have one, you are going to have to clean it after every use and you'll be tired of doing it soon. 9. Always clean any pumps on your products as the dried product in it and around it will harbour bacteria and your new product has to pump through it. 10. Keep your kit clean and organize your products properly. Beauty Blenders or sponges that will be damp or have been damp should be stored in a mesh bag to allow them to breathe and not get mouldy. Lip products are easier and more hygienic to store in a palette. That way, you can spatula out the product onto a palette and not have to clean the lipstick tube every time you use it. 11. Always use disposable applicators unless you can deep clean them in between clients. For example, you should use disposable mascara wands, powder wedges or lip applicators (if you don't use a brush) and cut off the applicators the product comes with. Never use the same mascara wand on two different people, it will spread bacteria to the eye of the second. I'm self taught and that's what I learnt on the internet, anyway. I'm sure somebody else could add to it if they had more information. I hope that helped you! :)

hooded eyes: the skin FOLDS over the eyelid. the "typical western / caucasian" eyelid: the eyelid CREASES at around the eye socket. This girl, from my judgement has extremely mild hooded eyes however since her hood is so mild, it appears to be at around the eye socket area, that's why it doesn't look like hooded eyelids.

I don't get how the foundation is wrong. It completely matches her body. It's common for people to have their face much lighter than their neck and the rest of their body, especially those who exfoliate. If she matched the foundation to her face it probably would have looked even more fake
