How to set the time on a G-Shock Watch

Here is how to set the time on a classic Casio G-Shock watch. If you want to change the time on a G-Shock watch, just push the upper left button to get in the right mode, and then use the lower left and upper right buttons to set the correct time on your Casio G-Shock watch. This is the third one of these watches I have owned in the past 35 years or so. The original batteries last for around 12 years. I have tried replacing the battery but new batteries only last about a year so I think replacing the watch every 12 years or so is pretty good considering these watches can not only survive a swim in the lake or pool but they can also handle the vibration of running a chainsaw and construction site beatings better than any watch I know of in this price range. I am grateful for this video as I tend to forget how to change settings due too the zero maintenance I experience with this watch. Thank you!

My watch is all messed up because it was just a leap year. I been setting the date and times correct, but it just doesn’t want to change the date it will stay on the same date and I will have to do manually set it to the correct date. Any help? 3/3/2020

I don’t know. My watch compensated for the leap year. I’m not sure why yours wouldn’t, or why it won’t let you set the date now.

I don’t know. I thought that they were supposed to show you the same time and just subtract an hour or two. Maybe that watch allows you to set them independently.

You could try opening the back of the watch and see if you can get at the button mechanism. I think you can. You’ll probably find that something is broken, or something is jamming it up.

same here, it works to reset the stopwatch or timer but not to adjust the time.
