You know how each Dark One had a habit to keep themselves occupied so they wouldn't go insane? Rumplestiltskin turned straw into gold and Emma wove together Dreamcatchers. I wonder if Hook is going to make Monkey's Fists (a type of knot that Belle discovered in Season 2 that lead her to finding the Jolly Roger that Cora had made invisible).

To me no other scene in the entire series showcased Zelena's wickedness than in this scene right here. One of my fav seasons and scenes. Her taunting and subtle manipulations between Emma and Killian as their love, relationship and "darkness" dangled in the balance.

I side with Hook here. Hook would have rather died a hero than to be consumed by darkness. Up to that point, he had told Emma many times about his struggle with darkness. She convinced herself she was saving Hook, which she was in a way, but she was also dooming him to the darkness he tried so hard to escape. She convinced herself she was doing it for Hook, but saving him really was more about herself because that's not what Hook wanted.

You are right about that. Emma should listen to Hook, l mean it is his choice what happens to him. But I also understand Emma. She loses the people she cares about all the time, she didn’t want to lose Killian. And Killian told her that he would forgive her, that he had already forgiven her, but when he found out the truth he was angry and didn’t try to think why Emma did this. Of course, it is not Hook’s fault anyway because he was the dark one, he couldn’t think clearly.

With Hook, he was ignorant due to Emma’s meddling, and before he got his memories back he was still himself without any negative influence. So is genuine ignorance a valid counter to the darkness?

i kinda thought it was out of character to make killian completely just turn away from emma when he was a dark one. rumple still found a way to be in love with belle when he was a dark one. killian loved emma so much that this scene didn’t make sense to me. he should have understood that emma didn’t want to lose him. almost all of season 5 didn’t make sense to me, because killian was a dark one the whole time and acted normal, but when he figures out his name is on the dagger he starts acting dark? something doesn’t add up. emma is the one he loves most, he wouldn’t turn on her so quickly. he would do anything to save her, so he of all people should understand why emma did that.

Emma didn’t save Killian’s life for him. She did it for herself, so she wouldn’t have to be without him. It was an incredibly selfish action… and yet, I still find myself defending it. She’s lost everyone she ever cared for, not that she had many people to grieve in the first place. She was completely alone for most of her life, and the little love that she did receive was ripped away from her each time. Graham, Neal, hell, even Walsh! My heart breaks for her.

Probably because Rumple has people who love him and he didn't have a choice because he was corrupted by the Darkness. Zelena has a choice but, where she is a psychotic sociopath and no one really loves her (Robin doesn't he just cares about his daughter) and their unnamed daughter is too young, she won't remember her. Seriously, who is Storybrooke would miss Zelena? She's trying to do what she thinks is right by hurting the least people possible.

The only person who loves Rumple is Belle, and that's debatable considering what they've been through. Henry might care for him, but after what he did to Emma and how he tried to darken her heart, I doubt he likes him very much. And Baelfirfe is dead. Also, Rumple did have a choice. He could've resisted the darkness (like Emma did before Hook started to die), but he was a coward so he reveled in it. He's had his good moments, but like he himself admitted, he always chooses the wrong decisions when they matter most because deep down, he is a coward. I think Emma chose Zelena to get revenge on her for helping Arthur.

Rumple has been a hero for like 4 episodes and he hasn't done anything... Henry and Violet haven't seen one another since Henry got his heart broken in Camelot and since he learned about it in Storybrooke. Has he just been avoiding her the entire time because of it? As much as Grumpy was bitching about being let out of the adventure, he sure hasn't done a whole lot since arriving... Are we still focusing on Belle and her flower or not? I know we already know Rumple survives, but still, Belle didn't know that in Camelot. What is Lancelot doing? Whatever happened to Robin Hood's Merry Men and Captain Hook's Jolly Roger shipmates? Like Mr. Smee?

Part of what makes the two of them kindred spirits. He BEGGED her not to turn him. He wanted to see Excalibur reunited so he could see Emma defeat the Darkness before he died. Much as I don't want him to die, those were his wishes. Emma deliberately went against them and plunged him into the Darkness, something that he had struggled against for a long ass time. Emma selfishly took that decision away from him

Sydney Cupcake This is my theory. Remember Hook was about to die back in Camelot. I think the reason why he's still alive is because Merlin is PROBABLY inside him. Or its just the darkness. It might be similar to the time when Neal/Baelfire was about to die but Rumple took him inside him so Neal would live. Then when he got separated from Rumple, Neal finally died. It could have similarities. I could be wrong, we'll just wait and see. AND I personally don't want Merlin to die. I hope he stays regular in the series.
