***** Exactly. It was really mean of her and Zelena was right to be upset after that. They only wanted to control her and putting all her power in that jewel was one way to ensure they have a chance of defeating her in case she's no longer one of them.

kellybundy1000 Technically it was a double-edged sword. Why precisely that pendant gave the possibility of defeat Zelena, but it increased further her already immense powers. In fact, she has also said that it was necessary to defeat her before to take it away. And anyway Zelena hasn't never kept grudge to Glinda for not telling her immediately this detail. She has accepted the pendant for what it was, a sincere gift that came from the heart. In fact we have also seen that even Glinda and the other witches of Oz have the same pendant. So there was really no trick.

***** It may have been no trick but she should've told her all the pendant does before putting it around her neck. It's like signing a contract without reading what you're signing. If it's important it has to be explained and she had to know what she was agreeing to. Naturally Zelena was way too happy to be part of their sisterhood or whatever to even think about the downsides of the pendant and she only saw the good things and what she wanted. I'm not particularly mad about this pendant story, I just don't like Glinda here and I am more inclined to find faults in her for such things. Either ways, Zelena was better off without joining them, I think. She desperately wanted a family, to be loved and accepted so she thought that was the way but it wasn't. And helped the others defeat her in the end. She lost her power.

I wish In the final season Zelena had reestablished this coven from OZ. Would’ve been a good counter force against the coven of the eight.

So true. I would've liked to have seen Oz reestablished and thriving again the witches back and dorothy and ruby and whatnot were there too. Instead we got...Jacinda, and no chemistry knock-off Alice. You wrote what should've been the plot in two sentences.

OneAndOnlySound actually I liked The new Alice. I never cared much for the ruby and Dorothy storyline, but to each their own. What I would’ve had happen Is a slower reveal of each of the eight witches in the coven, and after the scene where Alice turns Gothal into a tree Instead of the wish realm storyline, I would’ve had it revealed that Gothal’s spell unleashed Chernabog (needless to say I wouldn’t have introduced him in season four). Anyway to defeat Chernabog we would need the Oz coven, but assembled differently. Glenda would symbolize wisdom, Regina this time symbolizing love, And in a twist it is revealed Zelena was never meant to take the seat of innocence, the seat was destined for Alice, and Zelena was meant for the seat of courage (Having possessed the courage to change). Their combined power would return rumple’s dagger back into the holy Grail (Ending the dark one curse), And Henry having the heart of the truest believer drinks from the cup to acquire the power necessary to kill Chernabog. The epilogue would reveal that the realm without magic (Which ones rejected Gothal and the rest of her kind) now started to see magic resurgent. As such the coven of Oz led the world into a golden age everyone got their happy ending And right before it fades to credits on the screen it writes in cursive, and they all the happily ever after.

Emily Cano To be honest, I always liked Zelena. Like I always liked Regina, even from the beginning. Yeah, when she tricked Robin and became pregnant, I didn't approve, but still I liked her. Both Regina and Zelena only wanted to be loved. This is one instance where I wholeheartedly agree with the phrase "It's all the mother's fault." Cora's the real reason her daughters became Evil and Wicked. Got a bit off topic. I liked Zelena.

I never liked her character. I love Rebecca Mader, she's an incredible actress and she made Zelena really complex and evil (sorry, wicked) but I'll never forgive her for what she did to Rumple in season 3b and for killing Neal. Also she turned good too fast! I mean, she's being a villan for all season 3B and season 4B. Even for some part of season 5. She deserved more time for change. That's just my opinion, don't hate.

Now unlike Blue Fairy, Zelena is in fact responsible for her actions. This said: the other witches DID seem VERY QUICK to change their mind when they thought Dorothy and not Zelena was part of the foretelling from the Book of Records. It was careless of them and like Blue Fairy lead to a lot more harm than good. LUCKILY Zelena got her shit together.... at the end of the series.

Have anyone noticed that Zelena's ingredients resemble the same nature of Light Magic which the sisterhood of Oz does? - Wisdom > Witch of the North > Rumple's brain - Courage > Witch of the East > Charming's sword - Love > Witch of the South (Glinda) > Regina's heart - Innocence > Zelena herself > Snow's baby It's clear she learned how to travel in time because she's the Witch of the West... And according to Glinda, these four points together could make miracles. Indeed.

Actually yes. The final ingredients of Zelena's spell combine all four of what the witches represent, wisdom- Rumplestiltskin's brain, courage- the sword, love- Regina's heart, and innocence- the baby. It's possible that if all the witches combined their power, they could've done.

***** No. Even without that pendant the powers of Zelena were higher than those of Regina. Rumpelstiltskin himself had judged this during her training. He judged her the most powerful witch who has ever known. And remember that she knew how to use her powers since she was a newborn, and that with them she has been able to move a very large tree trunk. So even without that pendant, she possesses special powers higher than the average of any witch. But if with it she has reached the level of Rumpelstiltskin we don't know. After all, we haven't never seen their two fighting in a duel of magic.

jose lopez But Regina never became as powerful as Zelena. After all, we remember that when Regina was evil, she still needed minions for cause problems to the realm. Zelena instead did everything herself (although she has had the flying monkeys, but those created them with magic, were not loyal soldiers).

exactly. I was too satisfied when Zelena banished her to Enchanted Forest. That's what Glind deserved. If she told her all details from beginning, be honest with her, Zelena would never be overacted, she could try to understand and accept the situation. Similar to Ingrid, all Zelena wanted to be loved and accepted who she is, not being manipulative & used.

@@beccagregory3586 If you take the movie and this as one and the same, the East being her sister doesnt mean biological sister. the four witches call each other sister and she could have turned the East Witch evil at some point, either through magical brainwashing or simple manipulation before Dorothy's house turns her into a witch pancake. Also one of the four witches is probably dead, Im assuming some sort of power struggle with Zelena being the victor as they would outnumber Glenda 2 to 1, before then since there is only Glenda and Zelena left.

Think if she knew what Regina's life was like she'd have envied her? Strange when you think about it. Zelena's adoptive mother loved her (the impression I got) but her adoptive father refused to see her as anything but 'wicked'. Regina's actual mother only ever saw her as a means to get what she wanted but her father loved her. Zelena really should be envying Regina over her father - since her own was a louse and when you think about it is basically responsible for half of the suffering in this show or at least nearly half the villain arcs in this show.

Zelena 2nd happy ending of 6 she rejected cause it wasn't Regina's to steal. She was given sisters by her side. Land to rule. People to protect and later dorathy who she should of related to and mentor. Dorothy was innocent which means she fall under Zelena area to protect and mentor. Instead she got paranoid of being replaced and Instead of preparing for the great evil (possibly a wiched witch of the east from another oz) she became the great evil she believed she was.
