No, hard work and never quitting. He learned about hard work as a kid, and not quitting in the Marines. In America, the thing that sets us apart is that it's ok to fail, you learn from failure, not taking no for an answer, you get out of life exactly what you are willing to put into it. Some do better and some never do. Tom Monaghan had to become an adult early in life because of circumstances, not of his own making, rather than cry about it, it was the motivation to excel. Even if the Pizza business never when anywhere he still would have made a good life for himself.

My younger brother saved $30,000 from doing odd jobs, summer jobs, and a consistent weekend job from middle school till the end of his first year in college. He's a fcking hard-working brother that would make me feel ashamed of myself. But I'm proud of him! But I guess my brother saved more because we still have our mother supporting us.
