I like that @ 02:27, you whisper when you spot fish as not to spook them, that method always works well for me! That glassy flat water sure makes it a difficult fishing trip😉. We fished Friday and nailed some big Deacons and Blues, and topped it off with a ling and the biggest Calihali I ever landed. Nice catch of the White Seabass. and we get to see Papa Leroy! Great show Edward!

Congrats on the two nice biscuits! They're also good BBQ's (with butter and garlic salt) over oak wood for a few minutes per side.

Great video, love the channel. As to the gaff on your second sea bass, I was always told by deckhands to have the gaff hook pointed down and to reach towards you, so the fish doesn’t pop off. Just something to consider- hope to make it up your way soon!😊

Awesome catch! How big is your Okuma Salina reel?

This one was the 10,000 size. I have both the 6000 and the 10,000 6000 is for smaller game and shallow water but it could’ve handled these Seabass.

What a great video - Gotta say I tried Papa Leroys seasoning on my halibut and it was delicious. Was this trip recently? What perfect conditions! May see you out there, Im on a 16’ refurbished Glastron named “Feisty” with a custom hardtop with side windows. Thanks for the video!

Hi Edward, I am a subscriber……is it better to surf fish in the morning no matter the tide or 2 hours on an in coming tide and an hour after no matter the time of day?
@Hook2CookАй бұрын
Hey, thanks for the support. If wind is not a factor incoming tide is best. Usually early mornings have lowest winds that pick up as noon approaches which makes it tougher to fish with jerkbaits and Carolina rigs. Mornings are usually when the fish really start eating but there’s other factors like currents, wave power etc. but generally I agree mornings are the best. If it coincides with incoming tide- even better

Can you show us how you identify squid on your fish finder? or why you believe it to be squid? I'm trying to get better about identifying types of bait when I see it on mine but never seen squid before. Thanks, love the vids.

@@Hook2Cook, you know your putting out a good product and have the viewers undivided attention when they pick up little things like that. Also love the papa Leroy cut break in the middle with the chef action.
