@astokkis Awesome man, glad I could help in some way! I use 3 and have never had a problem. If it gets harsh then just pull the coals further away from the middle. Occasionally I will throw on a wind cover when I flip and rotate the coals. Tangiers touching foil is perfectly fine. Thanks for the kind comments!

Starbuzz releases a lot of flavors which is why you see so many. It's definitely the most in-demand brand that people want reviews on too. For me personally, the three tobaccos I rotate on a regular basis are Starbuzz, Tangiers, and Al Fakher in that order.

took me about 10 bowls to finally get tangiers right, the reason is because of this video...thanks for the tutorial my friend, your videos are truly helpful and very insight full. One question why not use Heavy duty foil instead of two regular sheets?

@brol1k Thanks! Glad the videos help. I use two layers of regular because it equates to a thicker seal versus one layer of heavy duty. The regular duty also conforms to the bowl easier which ensures an air tight seal around the bowl. 2 regular layers manage heat the best for me and I live and die by Coconara coals.

I've watched this video 10 times, maybe. I'm thinking about getting some Lucid, but I've never had it before. I'm pretty well familiar with Noir and how to pack it for a great smoke, but I just get nervous about messing up new things, especially knowing how bad Tangiers can go so easily. :P

It's because those two flavors are a lot more juicier. A vortex is just a little bit restrictinig on the airflow which will maintain heat. Also with a vortex you do save more shisha and a vortex just seems to work better overall. Although this is just from my personal experience and what I seemed to have observed.

tangiers has four lines: lucid, birquq, nour, F-Line. Lucid is washed and is like any other shisha. Birquq I believe is washed and seems pretty similar to Lucid but it has higher nicotine contenct and a better flavor than lucid. Nour is unwashed, has higher nicotine content but has alot of flavor. F-Line is unwashed, has caffeine in it, will give you a killer buzz and has awesome flavor. If you are gonna try tangiers for the first time I recommend starting off with lucid.

i will add this to the info. some shisha does contain more nicotine than others. if you smoke bowls and bowls of the higher nicotine shishas a day you could end up getting addicted. but remember you need to smoke a LOT for that to happen. and even then you will be getting less nicotine than cigarettes, so don't worry about getting addicted.

@nj1489 Tin leaks too much air, ziplock is soluble plastic which means it absorbs the liquids slowly over time. Never refrigerate. Keep it at the same room temperature you plan to smoke it in for best results.

Thanks for this, exactly what I needed. My first tangiers order has arrived, and I need to do some research. Will 2 coconaras be too little? If I use 3 and it gets harsh, should I take off one piece? Do you also use a windcover with lucid? Also, I assume the tobacco touching the foil is not a problem with tangiers? Why is that, will it not burn? Better heat management. Doesn't burn your shisha as fast since you can control it better.

You could, but I would stick with Vortex for SB, Fant, Fum and Phunnel for AF and Tang.

Great video, but i usually use vortex bowls with great results. Recently i bought a phunnel, but i dont get it quiet to work, the problem is i cant even take a drag of air. Someone told me i need a mod, but ive seen many that dont use a mod, so my q is what am i doing wrong???

How come the sisha doesn't get burned when packed that close to the rim? I usually smoke AF in a phunnel and I like to have 4-5 mm of clearance. Would this method be applicable with AF and what would be main advantages be?

@atheerdiz Mod is almost never necessary to be honest. Depends on which type of phunnel bowl you purchased and what tobacco you're using.

You must smoke like once a minute...................Or take bird hits. When you say how long a bowl lasts, it's worth mentioning how often/hard you hit it, so other people can get an idea of comparison. A typical bowl of starbuzz lasts just over 40 min for me, tangiers noir or Birquq, when done right, never last over 70 min.

I'm sorry, but this is an absurd amount of tobacco, I get the same session length and constant taste with a smaller regular Chinese bowl, when you trash everything after your done, isn't most of the tobacco perfectly fine? btw thanks for your videos, they do help a lot, big ups from Colombia.

why did u need to put so much tobacco in the bowl? i would have used one eighth of that ammount in a normal hookah session with a normal bowl and normal shisha. is there something different about this tangiers?

No... phunnel bowls have one hole right over the stem. The tobacco doesn't sit over any of the holes however.
