What reel do u use for the sabiki? I saw u dunk it in the water won’t it get rusted
@MooMooOutdoors10 ай бұрын
I was using Piscifun Alijos and I dunk my reel in the water all the time LOL. I rinse it thoroughly and it's all good.

Nice day on the water! I’ve been itching to get back out. I’m sure that sea lion will thank you later for that giving it that new Lip Piercing at no cost to it. 😁 No doubt all it’s friends are going to be super jealous.

Good fishing,I have a question for you. How many hooks is it legal to use in the sabiki thank you
@MooMooOutdoors10 ай бұрын
In the California coast you can use unlimited hooks if you are just catching bait fish and any species that have no hook restriction. Once you have a species on board that has hook restriction, you have to follow the hook restriction for that species. For example, If you have a rockfish on board, you can only to 2 hooks even for your sabiki since rockfish has 2 hook restriction.

I like the feel of those Ugly Stik rods better than my expensive St. Croix rods. The action is more forgiving. I guess you're in SF Bay, I left there for Oregon waters. Good content!
@MooMooOutdoors10 ай бұрын
I'm a fan of Ugly Stik rods because of affordability and durability but I do like lighter rods.
