Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZbin yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthev... and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyro... The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. Many years ago my mother tried to teach me how to crochet.....and as a young teenager I really didn't catch on or was very interested, as you can imagine how a teenager might be......now....as an old woman (LOL) I find myself drawn back to crocheting and it brought back fond memories. I'm pretty new to crochet still. I've wanted to make an airy triangle shawl ALWAYS. I've probably watched 30 videos on it. Attemped at least 6 with zero success till now! I am now at least half way done with my pretty pink velvet airy triangle shawl and its JUST EXACTLY what i wanted! Almost a fishnet look. I think i can wing a little wavy frill border. Dear Robin, Thank you again and again for this short and to the point video. It has proven to be one of the most serviceable shawl tutorials. I’ve missed stitched, added chains, crocheted in the wrong stitch, and the bloody thing always comes out looking like a million bucks! I always use colour-changing yarns and just keep adding skeins until it becomes a blg, gloriously warm cocoon to wrap up in whilst watching the telly. Love it!

I am SO glad you made this tutorial. I needed to make corner page bookmarks. The only other tutorial I found was absolutely terrible. I used your tutorial instead but with a smaller hook and stopped after the third time around. I made two of them and sewed them together with a yarn needle (in case anyone else wants to know how). It worked beautifully!

I am very new to crocheting and I am having a difficult time knowing what to do after you stop in the video. I am unsure if I turn my work and if I keep doing the chain 3 into the 3rd stitch. I love what you have helped me do so far. I have crocheted and pulled it out 7 times due to being confused. I have watched the video probably 50 times. I have accomplished what you have shown, but after that, I draw a complete blank. Lack of confidence I suppose. At any rate, I am never going to surrender and I will keep at it until I get it. Ok so first thing is to not get frustrated with yourself! Everyone starts somewhere (and yep, totally sucks to feel like a newb!) You turn your work for every new row. So, turn your work, chain 4 then up the sides do your 3 double crochet, chain 1 all the way up the side until you reach the triangle peak middle bit. In that middle bit you put 3 double crochet, chain 3 and 3 double crochet ALL into the same space. Then down the other side you chain one, pop 3 double crochet into the space all the way down to the end. Then you chain one and pop a double crochet into the 3rd chain of the chain 4 from the row below. Turn, do it again! Chain 4, 3double crochet chain 1 all the way to the top, do your middle peak of 3 double crochet, chain 3 and 3 double crochet all in the same space then back down the other side, chain 1 3 double crochet until to reach the end - chain 1 and pop a double crochet into the 3rd chain of the 4th chain. Keep doing that until it gets as big as you want it to be! I like my shawls massive 😂

After starting learning from your videos about 4 weeks ago, I started my first project a couple weeks ago (it's taken roughly 27 hours I think) and made me a huge cosy granny shawl using this video for reference, I'm so chuffed and I love it, even if it does have a couple mistakes lol 🤭 Thank you for sharing your skill with us 🤗 Now I need to decide what to make next!
