Amazing video. U gave me the confidence, I’m a new subscriber. ty. I’ve 1 suggestion & 1question. If possible leave the instructions of what ur working on, up on bottom of screen to reference . My question is when creating the ear flaps and attaching to beanie which is the finished side & inside? .
@CrochetWithTiffany3 жыл бұрын
Hi Doris! Great question, because this stitch looks the same on both sides either side could be the finished (outside) or the inside. Very convenient that way. 😊❤️🧶

These are so adorable!! I made one, but it is a bit too small. Is there a way to make it a bit bigger (longer and wider)?
@CrochetWithTiffany22 күн бұрын
Hi There! YES! You can make it wider by adding another round of increases before starting on the sides where we make one stitch in each stitch space. And feel free to make the beanie longer by adding a more rounds before starting the ear flaps. The ear flaps will not change. 😊💖🧶

Thank you Tiffany, really love the pattern. Can you help me resolve this small dilemma? When doing the rounds of DC do I put my first dc stitch in the slip stitch? Do you count the 2 chains as a 1 dc when you count the total dc stitches? Thanks again!
@CrochetWithTiffany2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mama Farasheh! Those are great questions! First question. So, to close the round you will slip stitch into the top of the first stitch to close. You will not make any stitches in the slip stitch. That is purely just to close the round. You will want to chain 2 and make your first stitch in the same stitch space that you slip stitched into though. In this pattern the chain 2 does not count as a stitch so when you come back around to close the round, push the chain 2 back, look for the first Dc stitch that you made and slip stitch on top of THAT stitch for a clean close. I hope that helps and makes sense. 😊🧡🧶

Hi Tiffany, I love your beanie pattern, however I wish you would show us your measurements before you start the project... mine was too big for a toddler, I did what you mentioned below , to skip a decrease row, I will try that and use this one for a 5 or 6 year old.

@CrochetWithTiffany4 жыл бұрын
Hi Luvvinny! I am so glad you enjoy my hat tutorials! Yes! I can help make the beanie a little smaller. Just eliminate the last row of increases. That’s it! Don’t adjust anywhere else. That should fit better. 😊❤️🧶

Hi Tiffiny, your tutorials are very helpful. Thanks a lot. I want to for 3year old .how many rows for upper top 8 /9 rows. Please help.
@CrochetWithTiffany3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! If you are looking to make a smaller size beanie then the Toddler beanie here I would just take out a row or two but then continue on. I believe the next beanie size down with would be for a 1 - 3 year old just omits one increasing row from this pattern. I hope this helps! Happy crocheting! 😊🧶🧡

I see your yarn behind you. How do you sort your yarn? By color? By yarn size?
@CrochetWithTiffany4 жыл бұрын
Hi Valerie! I supposed I like to first bunch like yarn types together (Cottons, Velvets, Fuzzy, Bulky) Then I will sort by color. That way if I am working on a specific project that calls for Cotton yarn or a Blanket yarn I know where to go first and then I can choose a color. 😊🧡🧶

If I wanted to make a linear design with a grid what would be the proportions?
@terriealleydavidson47724 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your videos. I’m curious-when you make a ball you don’t join each round with a slip stitch. But on a hat you do. But why?
@CrochetWithTiffany4 жыл бұрын
Hi Terrie! That’s a great question! One reason I slip stitch to close each row for the beanie is because I’m just following instructions. The second reason I close each row of the beanie is because I want the last row to end smoothly. Yes, I can see how a beanie could be made with the spiral where you do not slip stitch the row and chain to begin the next row but instead dive right into the next row with stitches. You would have to end the last row a certain way to create a smooth border. Now I’m intrigued and curious to make this spiral beanie. Thanks for asking Terrie!

@@CrochetWithTiffany You answered me. How exciting! Thank you. Please try it in a video so we’ll all know. Also I have a ton of DK yarn. When our yarn shop went out of business I bought a lot. I can’t find many hats, etc that use DK. Any ideas for all this DK yarn?

Is it true the smaller hook size is better for toddler's
@CrochetWithTiffany Жыл бұрын
Honestly, maybe. These beanies run on the bigger size. They are not meant to be skull cap beanies that have a snug fit. The size is more for a comfortable fit. If you find you would like your beanie to be a tad smaller and tighter then definitely use a smaller crochet hook as it will make your stitches smaller and tighter but not so much smaller that it causes the beanie to go down a full size. If you crochet with a looser tension, working with a smaller crochet hook will also help. Great question! 😊❤️🧶

I want to make a toddler beanie with ear flaps but wondering if its possible to have the ear flaps join together with a button to hug toddler face? (Not the brades at the end)
@CrochetWithTiffany3 жыл бұрын
Hi Amy! You could absolutely do that! Just repeat the first row for the ear flap until you have reached a desired length and then start decreasing. Honestly I am not sure how long you would need to make that ear flap so that they can join together. That will be through trial and error. But really cool idea! Good luck! 😊❤️🧶

Need help to make a beanie for 18 month boy
@CrochetWithTiffany2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maria! Honestly if you are able to print out the pattern all sizes are in the same pattern. If you would like to adjust the size of the beanie it’s really just expand your rounds until you have reached the size of the crown of the head and then work regular rounds without increasing until you have met the desired length. Hope this helps. Pattern located in the description section
