This press has worked like a charm for my projects kzbin.infoUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!

Greetings from Nottinghamshire (UK). Only stumbled across your channel yesterday and have watched many of them already! I love the precision you work to and your clarity when explaining. I share also your desire to make things which are aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. I'm a huge fan of Peter Millard's channel (and his MFT style of working) so was interested to see you link up with him. I've woodworked for maybe 3yrs now and am about to redesign my current double garage workshop to get more organised. I find often my setup time is far too long for simple tasks, leading me to cut corners (which I always regret). Watching your content is helping me greatly understand what I want in my tool shop and how I want it organised. Please keep the videos coming!

Ive been setting up my woodworking shop for about a year now. I wish I would have found your videos sooner. I have been building and remodeling houses since I was 16, 40years later I am finally setting up my shop. I have always wanted to have a shop just for wood working but life always got in the way. Installing walk in tubs took over my business years ago, not long ago I did an install for a retire gentleman that did woodworking, restored antique furniture and cars. I removed a large garden tub from his master bathroom and built a surround for around the walk in tub I installed. he watched me the entire 4 days i was there. we talked about so many different things. On the last day I was finishing up a few details and he told me watch me work was like watching his dad who he learned from. I took that as one of the biggest best compliments I have ever gotten looking at the quality of his work before I started. That really inspired me to get going on my shop. Seeing some of the things youve built makes me want to start over. I love the black mdf you use on you on your shop tables! Who makes it and where do you buy it? I have lots more questions and comments but Im going to watch alot more of your videos first. You do amazing work!

What you make is always amazing Dennis and is a great inspiration to me. Honestly I shamelessly copy most of what you do, at least in part, as I also get much more satisfaction from making things I get pleasure in looking at. I get frustrated with the “it’s only shop furniture” mentality because working in an environment that gives you pleasure affects feeds the other things you make there! I like this more detailed build content as well (did I mention I steal you ideas) as it helps replicate. Please keep up your fantastic work!

What a magnificent addition to your drill press table. Loved the bottom layer which allows it to be slid onto the existing table. Always thought the round removable insert was the best idea, you improved on that with the dust slots underneath. So many brilliant adaptions which make it totally functional in so many ways. Only feature that the Woodpecker Drill Press table has are the sliding extension arms and the drawer underneath. Such Quality Craftmanship. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dennis! It IS a beautiful drill press table - without a question. However in this case, I stick with my golden rule "do not put too much effort in things like a drill press table or push-blocks". This is simply because the more effort you put into it. the more shy you are to drill a hole into it or to cut into it. So I prefer in general a simple piece of waste plywood. Regarding the subject with two rows of holes, I get your point. However you do not need the fence to be perpendicular to the movement, to have the two rows parallel, as you stated. For this purpose you only need to keep the angle exactly the same during the movement. I guess what you intended to say was, that if you want to have the two rows exactly parallel AND you want to start both rows at the same distance from the end with the same stop-block setting, THEN you need to have fence perpendicular to the movement. Thanks for the great videos! BTW the pocket hole jig, you recommended last time, arrived in the meantime and it really works well - if you get yourself an original Kreg drill bit. I found they have a desgn feature, that the Chinese drill bits obviously lack: The grooves that transport the dust normally have a cutting edge all the way up the drill bit. The Kreg pocket hole drill bit has these cutting edges only in the lower part. The upper part still has the transport grooves, but is completely cylindrical. This provides far better guidance in the holes of the jig, while it prevents the drill from wearing out the holes as well, which is good for long term stability of the jig. Best Regards Andreas

Fantastic as always, I have started building one to suit my drill press and have copied many of your ideas, always appreciate the time you take to explain why you do things the way you do. Tip / idea for anyone wanting to do the circular insert but does not have a ubeaut laser. I used 5inch male & female dust extraction fittings. I used a bit of hot glue to stick them down and then used a flush trim bit to trace around the inside of the female fitting (drill a hole to insert the router bit 1st) for the table hole and ran around the outside of the male fitting for the insert. Because the male / female are designed to fit very tightly this resulted in a good fit. Obviously could do the same with 4 inch or regular PVC depending on what you happen to have.

Hi Dennis, like you I don't see any point in just knocking something together when with just a little more thought and time you can make something that you are proud of and looks good, whether other people think so or not. I love the look of your table and will hopefully have a go at making one myself in the future, but the cast iron Plate on my current Drill Press is round not square. I'm sure I can adapt your plans to suit this somehow. I love the slower pace of your video and it shows how happy you are in your new workshop and so much space 😁 the sound quality is also very good now as well. I would have to move house to get a bigger workshop and at my time of life I don't really want to go through that again 😂 so I will persevere with my little workshop and try to make it as enjoyable and as efficient as yours. Take care and have a great weekend, look forward to your next video.
