My dream is to have you build me a workshop, or at least give me an order list with build instructions. Especially that awesome work table and vacuum system.

I am not into the lasers. But I do not care if you put out videos like this or not. I watch your videos because you give honest advice and honest reviews, and that has given me a lot of respect for you. I have thought about a laser for engraving my logo for my projects. But for now i have my branding iron and that is good enough

Dennis, I’m a new subscriber and thoroughly enjoy what I see so far. I am particularly impressed with the MFT top that you put on top of your Felder 500. I just bought a 300 and I’d like to make a scaled-down version of yours. Do you have a link for that build? And can I purchase plans for that build? I can do the scaling on my end. Again, very impressive! Keep up the great work… and I’ll keep watching. Mike

Hi Dennis. Would like to build the drill press, but did not understand exactly which black MDF you recommend. Whats the difference between your black MDF and other one on the market? Which densoty does your black MDF have?
@HookedonWoodКүн бұрын
I use "No Brand" black MDF, the specifications are almost the same as Valchromat, but the price is half.

Hi Dennis - great overview! What is your secret to using this system with the 2x top? The 3mm drill guide is only tall enough to get through a single sheet. The UJK manual says the 20mm bit does not have a cutter in the center and is made to follow a through 3mm hole. Do you just freehand with a 3mm bit using the existing hole as a guide?
@HookedonWood2 күн бұрын
it is not necessary, but I find it a bit more robust and helps a bit against micro vibrations while sanding. I have no problem drilling through the 36 mm top with the 20mm bit from UJK.

Hi Dennis, what finish do you suggest when using the Matte Black MDF? A Hard wax or Danish oil? What is beat to protect from glue and other things like water spills and so on? Thank you!
@HookedonWood2 күн бұрын
I use Rubio Monocoat Pure. Danish oil requires too many layers. But on the workbench I use for Gluing, I also finish it with some wax. But I do this a week after the Rubio. I refresh my workbench top regularly when I think it is necessary.

This workbench looks fantastic! However, I am in the stage of acquiring tools, which includes purchasing a DeWalt 7491RS jobsite saw. I saw your video for the Banggood Hongdui HD-MG21. Would this fit on my saw? Many thanks for the idea of combining the workbench with the removable Incra LS-Positioner.

I’ve seen a couple of videos now, more and more wondering who is giving advice to me: his communicative skills suggests that he is (or has been, because this channel appears a full time thing) a senior salesperson or a human resource manager rather than a craftsman or a tax- or IT guy or a lawyer or medical professional. His equipment (and age and skills) suggests that he is not dependent on sponsored reviews, but perhaps he can’t help but make everything he touches a commercial success, even if he doesn’t need to. I’m not bringing this up to judge anybody, but to better understand the advice someone is giving me. And because I’m curious.

Dennis HELP NEEDED! I enjoy your reviews very much. What do you think is better. Kreg Tools bench dog holes are 3/4”. Festool is 20 mm. I am going to buy a pre made dog hole bench top. Would you purchase a 3/4” dog hole bench top or would you go with style of 20mm.? What should I do? I work in a wheelchair so I really count on reviews like you provide so my decisions are accurate due to problems I have with my brain. I got hit by a drunk driver. It’s getting better! I have saved up enough money to buy your T-Square. Very well done and I am very impressed with your China Tool reviews. I am having so much fun going broke! Good health, family & having fun is all that counts! Thom Schuck, Portland Oregon

I joined two long boards with this today. It did work well, but using the black spacer bar left some room to introduce error i feel. If it's skewed just a bit it'll leave your dowel holes short. I feel an improvement would be an S shaped bar that reaches over at the end, lying on top of the end of the main jig and that you could then put one of the stainless pins into. This would ensure 100% accuracy every time. Or, just make the spacer bar T shaped for a greater reference surface.

Totally appropriate. If the title has “laser” in it, people can skip over it if they are not interested. There are many woodworking channels I subscribe to where I haven’t any interest in some of the content or subject. And sometimes, there is an idea I can use from them even if the video in its entirety is not of interest.
@d.bishop10348 күн бұрын
I don't have (or want) a laser so I don't watch videos about them. For those that are interested, it's fine but I'm guessing it isn't really of interest to the majority of woodworkers. I could be wrong.
@HookedonWood8 күн бұрын
Yes, that is why the idea of a laser channel was born, however, one channel cost time enough, so although I also like lasers, the majority of content would be woodworking.

Thanks for your comment. In the past, I did also my laser videos on my HOW channel. Now I am in doubt if I have to continue with a separate channel or consider a laser as a woodworking tool. So every opinion counts to make up my mind about this👍
