It gives a pleasure when you go along the stage and children which take part in the performance -no matter what country it is-are like “Zakharova goes!’’. It just gives me pleasure, no more.

Part 4(before the Bayadere scene).If there are no big moves during tours, we move with our-nowadays-big family and it was such a bliss when I appeared in “La Bayadere’’ in Teatro dell’Opera di Roma for the first time after the maternity leave and saw my daughter sitting in the box above the orchestra pit and watching the rehears and then after it( after the rehears) all the corps de ballet flourished their arms about her and she smiled-this is bliss, unspeakable bliss!
@swanningaround11 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. She gets better with age as most ballerinas do, I hope she keeps dancing for the next 50 or so years. She has the inspiration of Maya and Galina, both of whom she said she admires. It is with tradition and continuous learning we all improve.

I feel myself in the first place like the ballerina of the Bolshoi theatre though at the same time I’m a ballerina of “La Scala” theatre(officially!), but after all I feel myself as Russian ballerina. West school unfluenced on me a lot,you know, I’m like a constant student, who is always in search of smth new and I’m not ashamed of asking smth and don’t take offence when I get remarks. It’s like a life credo for me.

I got accustomed to be on tour very often and it happens very often that I arrive in several days to the performance to some theatre, meet a new partner: «Hello!»( Svetlana gestures at 01:13) and we begin our rehearsals. David is exactly the kind of a partner with whom you can rehears everything quickly and appear on the stage - he doesn’t need explanations like: “Put me on my leg! Reach your body frontwards!”

About Giselle: It happens very often that there is certain period left and I review the ballets I dance ,especially it was with Giselle, because it was the first ballet I’ve danced being a young 17 year old girl and probably this is the reason why this ballet has been in my repertoire for so long.

It has already been so far away from me-all the bickerfests and so on but now I want to come to the theater and to work to the utmost, to enter on the scene and to make audience enjoy my dancing.
@appolinarie12 жыл бұрын
Even if I am on tour like a star, I’m always asking a teacher to be with me because it’s very important to have an outside point of view when the person tells you everything inspite of you being a star and having all the world at your feet-you can show it only on the stage and nowhere else. It gives pleasure when you arrive at some theatre and everybody like” Look! This is Zakharova!”.
@appolinarie12 жыл бұрын
If to give a summary,she says that it's a great feeling-to be a mother and that she reconsidered her views on oeuvre and she longed for the scene.Now she wants to dedicate herself to the art.But it's very-very briefly. I'll try to translate it after my exams,if you still want it.
@swanningaround11 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, Mary. Svetlana is not too thin or anorexic. She is a finely tuned athlete, and needs to be in shape to do the perfect dancing she does. You take care! :)

For the first time I went round around the theater because I was afraid to come aand see smth awful, smth different. But when I first came to the rehears and I saw the auditorium, I took a look around the stage and understood that it was marvelous! It was the premiere of “Sleeping Beauty” and it was that feeling of bliss, true bliss-this first entrée when Aurora runs out and there is a huge scene around you, which is very comfortable to dance on, the auditorium-it was spectacular!

In the 1 act I wanted to show all the fragility and nakedness of the modern world. I had no certain role, it was like character of stem-brokenness and heartsore and a character which asks for protection. It’s always easier to dance Odillia-no matter how you feel and what redaction you dance-you just appear and are victorious-it characterizes all the women which have a strong character. And it’s always easier to perform the evil than the good and nakedness.
@appolinarie12 жыл бұрын
but there are different level conversations-it was life school for me and I’m very glad I’ve been through this. I understood that the profession of ballet dancer is one of the most difficult professions. I’ve longed for the stage and rehearsal rooms and the feeling, the smell, the condition of tiredness after rehearsals and performances-I want this condition to be with me as long as possible.

When it comes to the last “Swan Lake”, sometimes you set a mission-what you want to show in this ballet, what you want to get across to the spectator. Somebody enters on the scene with the aim to blow everybody away, to make the spectators fall over their seats! Somebody enters to show the character like: “ I may get technique mistakes, but I can use smth else”( smth hidden inside). I set a mission to live these 2 roles, 2 different conditions on the stage.

Part 5 (before Spartak): Certainly I want my future to be connected with art-all I’ve been wishing since I was 10-that is I know and understand like nothing else. The experience of working at the State Duma, certainly, has taught me smth,because it’s another life, another profession, meetings with civil servants on another level-not on the level like: “Come to my performance! I’ll be glad to see you!”- “Oh,you’ve been! Thank you so much! Did you enjoy it?”-
@appolinarie12 жыл бұрын
I’ve danced Giselle for many times in many theatres all over the world and in “La Scala”, with different partners who gave me new impulses, in different redactions, from which I took smth for myself, so I’ve always changed my point of view.
@appolinarie12 жыл бұрын
Part 2 (before the Odillia scene): The baby’s birth changes a person, a woman a lot. You have a different look on things, you feel differently. When it comes to profession it’s important that you rehears and enter on the scene-and everything else makes no difference.

First part( before the ''Swan Lake" scene):Svetlana: Svetlana: A great event has happened in my life-my daughter’s birth. It’s probably incomparable feeling-when this little being appears-probably the most near and dear that ever could be! And there is a big event in my creative life-I have a new partner and it’s new blowing, new feelings, new emotions.

Exactly a prima ballerina like her is as fit as any olympic athlete,so you could say that she is a walking fat burner (Like Michael Phelps who eats HUGE meals but he stays lean) There is no way she could keep with those trainings and performances if she had some kind of eating disorder.

My russian isn't just as good but does what she says in the begining that one important event took place in her life and that apart from having a baby is meeting a new partner David Hallberg, so does that mean that she no longer will dance as a principal in the La Scalla and partner with Roberto Bolle? I personally believe they were and hopefully still are, an amazingly well matched dancing couple.

She has always been thin, but I did notice that her upper body had lost the muscle tone it once had but I have no doubt that it will return. She did have a baby and is now back on stage from maternity leave. It all takes time. One thing she has never lost is her personality and sense of self, I feel especially now she has become much more comfortable in interviews and shows her down to earth nature more.
