Just watched the film as I'm thinking of buying a sib, love ❤️ my fishing, live in Berwickshire and fish from Eyemouth, watching this has been a great help for me as it's given me more confidence instead of the charter boats, and a smashing guy who comes across really well , great stuff, thanks 😊

Great video. Gutted for both of you to lose what seemed to be a good fish. Love the stumpy rod though. Great to see you got out on a cracking day and it certainly calmed down 👍

HI Oban, A great video as always. where is that slipway you have launched from, please?.
@obanonthewater77963 жыл бұрын
I launch from the slipway at the millpool car park. This can only be done 2 hours either side of HW though.

Oban, what’s the weight of the Hydrus? It’s very tempting!
@obanonthewater77963 жыл бұрын
I believe its around 60kg so quite manageable for one person with the right launch wheels

Hey Bud , greetings from San Diego California. Been enjoying your videos 😄 How to you transport your SIB . Trailer, or inflate and deflate? If so how is that ? Thanks
@obanonthewater77963 жыл бұрын
If I'm only driving a short distance I stick it on my roof rack but most the time I inflate and deflate. Thanks for watching!

Porbeagle shark 🦈 caught one on baited feathers while fishing for bait about same depth , so a lure not out of the question..but I suppose its one of those you never know 😁

Great video mate it's the lost ones that always haunt you, could have been a big coalie but more likely a tope or blue, Love the set up too looking at something similar this year for myself

@@matthewward4661 nothing surprises me with fishing! Had a thought could have been a good turbot out on that bank, a 20lb plus fights mental hard.

Blue sharks can’t tolerate the sea temperatures at this time of year on the sw coast.

Well done Oban great video shame about losing the fish but it happens and you handled it well! I lost a big bass I even saw it coming up and it spat the lure I was gutted for days! What do you reckon it was that took it? Looks like such a good place to fish maybe we can both go one day 🙂

If you let the reel do it’s job .and not put your hand on the front of the reel .it would be in the boat.let the cluch do the job

I think if it was any species of shark there would be signs of fraying on the leader, it was only 25lb fluorocarbon. Whatever this fish was it snapped the line.
