We install a hidden gooseneck hitch in my Cummins swapped 6.4 Ford F-350, and hook up to my 36ft gooseneck enclosed trailer. We then get the AC working with the swap and welded lines! (Will they hold!?) We also Finally fixed our BIGGEST ISSUE!

Generally, if it holds vacuum for 5 mins, you will be fine. Usually, the apparent leaks will show right away. I dig the F-3500 man. I hate that the ford/International relationship fell apart because of the 6.0/6.4 drama, because it would have been a real possibility of Cummins being the diesel for Ford. By the time the Cummins/Dodge contract expired and we saw a Cummins in another brand, Ford was already 5 years into production with the 6.7 Powerstroke. But the 6.7 with the 6R110w is probably the best combination in production today, with your truck being basically the equivalent or slightly superior configuration. Keep it up Taylor, you're killing it this year !

We live in northern Utah and my dad has one of those exact hitch and we had it freeze in the hole and we did not have a garage at the time. So we had to boil water and pry it up from the hole. We were at it for 30 min before we got it out.

Love the build! If you're looking at rust prevention for the truck one thing to change would be the seal around the third brake light. A lot of the times the tend to dry out and crack which allows water to run into the cab and rust out the cab corners. Amazing job as usual Taylor!

I used DCS back in 2011 for my 2006. Mike Dahlke will be your best contact there. He is the best! Your transmission will actually self learn if you are using DCS's throttle pedal module by JMS. The more you drive it the better it will shift. The tune they send you will match the Cummins low-end torque with the 5R110. Mine shifts just like if the PS engine was powering the 5R110. It really was a breakthrough for them.

Neat trick for using a holesaw and not destroying your pilot bit. Set the clutch to 12 and when your holesaw bites down after the pilot poles through it won’t jerk the pilot and break it. It’ll stall the drill and you can stop and set the chuck back to drill.

I have 5 trucks that have BW turnovers, and I would highly recommend using the grease they provide on the 4 “corners” of the ball to keep it from seizing up in the hitch.

I would definitely recommend raptor liner for the bed if your going to do it yourself. It has a hardener you add to it so it will actually last.

To really kill noise you need 3 layers 1.Peel and stick aluminum backed dampening to absorb vibration, like FatMat 2.Decoupling layer of closed cell foam to keep layer 3 suspended from the vibrations of the metal/Layer 1. 3.Mass loaded vinyl, sheets of vinyl impregnated with heavier material designed to block sound through it with sheer mass. Optimally this layer is seamless

You got the ultimate truck now! Try checking your rear wiring harness connectors to make sure there clean for your back up camera, it so your camera is taking a crap on you probably, I’ve replaced quite a few of those on fords.

The 3m heavy duty head light restoration kit works really well, takes a couple hours. But makes the lenses like new. Something I felt accomplished about after doin lol

Spray in bedliners still hold moisture underneath my dodge had rust all the way down the pinch weld under the bed liner so I fixed the rust te bedlined it and put a tonneau cover

Hey dude check out the the issue with those new FASS filters swelling when they get water in the filter media and killing your lift pump while your towing that goose neck. Should probably swap over to CAT filters!

On another note we’re talking about the power extend, I think if you put the mirror adjuster to the middle and push down then forward or back maybe that works. I forget I had a 2011 work truck that was brand new and it did it that way I believe

Anti-seize the squared section of the turnover ball, all that road grime mixes with rain water and glues it in if you don’t.

Big globs of bearing grease or bar & chain oil over the ball & pin lever. Locally (Western Australia), the 3 or 4 of these I know with goosenecks all say they fitted grease points you can reach from the lever side. Its also a good idea to put a lever lock in the arch. Wheels & tyres - Taylor find a truck that's fitted with semis & ask to drive it on a long journey. Being heavier, you put more strain on a driveline and ancillaries that was never built to move that mass, you use more diesel per mile - even being tuned and the ride quality may be affected. Personally use the maps you've got & fit decent sized all terrain tires for quieter, more comfortable long distance journeys. Also the interference with your reverse camera may t Have happened while installing the 5th wheel

Dig the build, I've been working on a fummins myself for awhile now. That engine has a fair amount of knock, when you do an oil change I would cut the filter open make sure there isn't any metal in it, could be something simple bent push rod from having the lash to tight or something. But is excessive in my opinion. Those r134 canisters are the new anti leak style ball valve you have to get an adapter that your metal t adapter goes on to use them. Parts stores should have them next to the cans. They're usually blue in color

Not sure if someone else has said it or not but speaking from experience...put grease around the shank of that ball that is down in the pin. I live in the desert and it still rusts and seizes in there. Just a suggestion to help with future frustrations.

I installed a b&w on an 07 chevy and man I'm amazed how easy the 4 inch hole was for you to drill. On the chevy it probably took me 30 minutes with a brand new 4 inch hole saw. The bed channels are a lot deeper than that it seems and caught the hole saw like every 3 rotations. The assembly wasnt bad and getting everything in worked well but the 4 inch hole and the 4 inch diameter piece that sticks through was TIGHT. had to bore it out with a dremel after but boy theres no gap.

Definitely add UV dye to the AC if it doesn't have any. You can get kits to add UV dye to every fluid in a vehicle. Pair of yellow glasses and a uv pen light and you can find any leak in seconds.
