I have an idea for a video: What if, for Gen 1 to 5, GameFreak had included enough Pokemon of type variety to make full teams of a certain type? And to make things interesting what if they were designed to look like they could gain one of the newer types introduced later down the line.

I find the redesigns of Honoguma and Karusu to be very adorable, and their second stages are cool! But I find Dynabear to be a bit out of my taste and lacking something, such as claws on the front paws to give an edge to this starter and maybe change the face a bit; also it has two toes on the hind feet, looks weird on a creature with paws. Nothing wrong with Aquaria, but the eyes now have no sclera (the white part of an eye) surrounding them, kind of like Lana and her family.

I made this suggestion with friends, that a mainline game travels between dimensions/timelines to give cut pokemon some canon existence. Different from paradox cuz by definition, they exist when they shouldn't

That third stage fire bears fur pattern resembles a gangster jacket. To me, that says Dark-type like Pangoro.

Aw, I love Honoguma's updated family. They are perfection. Borobear is honestly better than most middle stage starters. Dynabear could also be part Dark or Ground, as well. I'm leaning towards Ground, since we haven't had a Fire/Ground type since Camerupt.

Honoguma and Kurusu modern designs look cute and adorable. I would definitely choose Honoguma as my starter if it was reintroduced to modern Pokemon games! Dynabear’s design looks amazing and beast like and Aquaria looks majestic and elegant! I like these designs. I want to see these Pokémon brought back with these modern designs!

The Fire-Type line looks great, but the Water-Type line doesn't look like it can be on land like a Water-Type starter, their back legs don't seem good enough for walking on land. The original sprites for them from the beta however make that actually workable, I think you kinda missed in that regard. Also I wouldn't call the mid-evolution stage of the starters "weird", they don't seem weird at all, that's just how they are suppose to be.

In this theoretical universe, I wonder what Hisuian Dynabear would be? Also, I think Aqua is a bit too sleek and cool. I would smoothen it out and make it's head a bit bigger. Maybe toss in contrasting colors to make it pop like Popplio's pink and the yellow on Quaxley and Sobble.

This is where I feel the paradox Pokémon were a missed opportunity in way. It would have been cool to see Gorochu re-worked into a past paradox Raichu. On the flip side, it also would have been cool to see a more tank-like future Hydreigon given that that was the original idea for that evolutionary line

If the next Pokemon game has a region based on Canada, I think Honaguma would fit in as the Fire Starter of that region. And I also had a thought that it's final evolved form could be based on the Canadian Mountie. Mostly due to the red and brown colors, but also because it could be a Fire/Rock typing. And we don't have a Fire Starter that's a Fire/Rock type. But that's just me though.

Not going to lie I have a very soft spot for the firebear line because I always pick the fire type starter they're the rarest in every region and there's already some bear Pokemon but not that type of the reason I have a soft spot for it is because once many years ago when I was drawing some of my first fake'mon I designed a little teddy bear named Embear who evolved into flarebear with use of a Firestone so it wasn't meant to be a starter it was meant to be something more like teddiursa or cubchoo so just 2 stages

Those are really good designs but did you need to mention the Fire/Figthing combo when we are already tired of that combo for fire starters at this point? Fire/Ground would be a better choice at least. Also, I would love to see more old designs being reused

Even if totodile and cydaquil replace the two originals as starters, I think the fire bear and the water dinosaur and their evolutions could have been incorporate into the gen 2 games in addition to the plant which was supposed to be a transition between chikorita and meganium which did not fit. Work on it and make a three stage and we'll have another three stage grass just like the fire and water but insert as extras as gen 2 doesn't have enough pokemon to play around. I wouldn't be surprised if the fire and water are incorporate into the gen 2 in a similar matter as legends Arceus where they may have been brought from another unknown region to show they have existed in jhoto under a different name and migrate due to the changes which makes the modern jhoto while the region they originate would be revealed till the later generation.
