This song is actually based on the original Resident Evil game, more specifically a diary the player can find in the game. In the diary a scientist infected with a zombie virus documents how he feels, noting that the dogs kept in the lab will not shut up. Eventually his entries descend into mindlessness and he presumably turned into a zombie. Similarly, their song Shadow Moses is based on the original Metal Gear Solid, and the live version from Royal Albert Hall starts with a choir singing the song from Metal Gear Solid's credits.

My man, had to comment once I heard you say you haven’t heard solos often in BMTH songs. You gotta check out stuff from their Count Your Blessings album to get the goods. I highly highly suggest listening to Medusa or Braille from that album, truly awesome musicianship! Medusa was also part of the Deathcore melody you reacted to recently!
