Since it is a 06 you're probably OK on the vac lines. Sometime in between 06 and 07 they updated the lines to no longer run over the transmission. All Flying Spurs have this. This means no engine drop, only steering rack out to redo. However pretty much 100% of the vac leaks I've seen come from the line (actually the cheap plastic T connectors) running behind the engine. You can actually cut and cap that particular line from the vac pump, up to the top of the engine, and back down to the rest of the system. It's maybe $50 in parts, 4 hours in time, and makes the whole system easily serviceable in the future. I did it myself 3 years ago and zero problems since. Details on 6speed forum

Or it could be the miracle motor! Like my Audi Allroad 2.7T. "The most unreliable engine from Audi ever". Mine ran with hardly any issues for 130k miles before I was T-boned by a red light runner 😢 I replaced the infamous air struts with aftermarket air struts cause I live in CO and being able to raise it to where it had more ground clearance than most SUVs in the winter to lowering it (with a computer mod) to where it sat lower than an RS6 was worth the price in parts. Obviously regular PM work is crucial to longevity, it was serviced by the same tech at the same dealership its whole life, and even he was blown away that I drove it almost every day for almost 20 years with only having to drop the motor once for the timing chains. Of all the Audis I've owned it is still my favorite. It saved my life in the accident with the side and curtain airbags. I was punted by a RAV4 almost a full block in the direction it was traveling, 90⁰ to the right from where I was traveling... Anyway, for being the most unreliable car from Audi, it was the most reliable early model year Audi I've owned.

@@leerob2403 ....fair point! Funny you say that about the All-road. 3 years ago I was car shopping for my kids 1st car and it came down to an Audi all-road or a Lexus LS400. Safety and reliability were #1 and #2 on my list. I researched the Audi and read all of the horror stories. I bought the LS400 140k miles, it was a 1995, 1 owner (and elderly couple), SUPER clean and was serviced at Lexus all it's life. I went with what was supposed to be the most reliable car of all time. We still have it...but after power steering pumps (2), idle air control valves (2) and a new ECU I often wonder if that all road might've been the way to go. 🤔

I own one of these. Bought it cheap 2 years ago for $35K. Non-Mulliner package. 69K miles at the time. No mechanical problems. A few minor things that are expensive but I just have chosen for now not too have fixed. (Rear passenger side back quarter window doesn’t go down. No soft touch close on passenger side. Etc. ) 2 years no mechanical problems. I am currently on a road trip for a business conference with my wife. She demolished 300 miles in one day with aplomb. Sustained several minutes long 120 MPH runs with ease. The wife didn’t even complain or notice when I hit 150 MPH a few times. The average MPH for this trip has been 15.1 MPG. Not bad for a TT 12 cylinder weighing several tons. My oldest exotic car and one of my favorites.

Yet *another* not-quite-a-Hooptie! I'm telling you, Tyler, it's the April Effect. (As far as the "driven" part goes...there's clearly enough of you left for April to take a crack at.) 😂

@@Afraz_9n3 VW stopped putting it in the 2024 Atlas here in the US, they’ve gone to a pumped up 2.0 with approximately the same power output.

@@ghall7763 ah right. Im assuming that's the ea888? What a stupid decision man I hate this new trend of companies putting small turbo engines rather than a decent v6 or V8 or even better a good old reliable diesel. So many SUVs which should have diesels or big petrols with teensy tiny 1.0 turbo petrols it's bullshit

@@Afraz_9n3 Facts! I’m making my 2010 Touareg VR6 last as long as I can. 220000 miles and it’s still silky smooth! That’s 354000 km

@@ghall7763 nicee. The vr6 suits that car nicely plenty of torque yet still a compact and lightweight engine considering the car that it's in. Personally my pick for that car would be a diesel though the 3.0 TDI V6 preferably. Purely because I live in the UK and that's 1. What the majority came with and 2. They got decent fuel economy and fuel is expensive here. Unfortunately for as long as I live in London I will never own one because of insurance prices and ULEZ

Given the vast distances in the US, compared with Europe, 85k miles isn't a great deal, thats just 136k kilometers. Not unusual to see cars with 400k - 500k here. If you take care of them, they'll last.
