The Republic holds! The fires of independence still burns! Hold the line just a little longer brothers! On a side note, I really hope you can push out and fight your enemies on their turf, and maybe progress beyond being forced to use levies so much.

There's honestly a very small difference between Levy maintenance and normal troops, something like 80 gold for a Levy vs 100 gold for a line infantry. LH has mostly needed them because he was attacked on so many fronts at the same time, but financially he should be able to support better dudes.

Thinks are looking good. With research done and other two on way should be much happier. Survive these winter. Next spring or summer you will be offensive at last. Their is light in the tunnel. Just need to hold it all together.

I've noticed that you often click and drag to spread your rifle troops farther along the wall battlements. This isn't necessary; troops on the wall will fire two ranks deep, so everyone can shoot in their default positions. Spreading out means that your troops are slightly less likely to be hit by stray bullets, but if you have enough guys to fully man the wall it is still better to have everyone bunched up.

HOPE FOR INDEPENDENCE...RISES! As our enemies continue to try and put down our Republic, our forces fight them off at every turns. Rebels attacked at Hyuga but were held off by the garrison men, losing over 1400 men to our garrison losing only under 1000 men. Glory to those who protect our borders! At Hizen, our leader Shimazu Hisamitsu leads the defense of the castle with his Experienced men against rebel Levy Infantry and decimated the rebel army. On Goto Island, rebels attacked the fortress there with their experienced troops and were wiped out as well. Back at Hyuga, the garrison was attacked by an enemy force from Matsumae, outnumbered by the enemy. Our Garrison there did NOT Falter. They made the Enemy lost over 2200 men to their 843 losses. OUr Republic stands united and pushes on!

Two things: 1) I think, if you solidly fortify those three eastern settlements and start to build up semidecent fleet atleast six ships to defend against enemy's fleet from damaging your lands. Then you might have shot to win campaign. I know, easier to say than doing it. Just offering tip. 2) Has the release schedule changed? Just checking.

I think a strategy could be to abandon the settlements that aren’t making any money and use the forces to pull back and fix the buildings near your capital and become more profitable. Once you are making more money then you can push out with some more economic power. Downside to this is would be you would have public order issues when taking the settlements back in the future.

New Satsuma Episode… Great! Is it just me who thinks that it makes no sense, that the defender in a siege defense can not see the attacker’s deployment during his deployment phase?

Really enjoy your content. I think you need to hire more agents to oversee your territories. Once they make the territories pro-emperor again, you should upgrade them to avoid revolt due to modernization....If you can do peace treaties as well, you can work on rebuilding your economy....

I suggest you pull your armi3 out of bingo since you will lose it any way, no need to sacrifice thoes forces. Then drop the artillery in both armies so you have more movement range, surround the enemy with both armies so they can't retreat, auto resolve the battle then double back your armies to pick up the dropped artillery. Link the retreated general with your damiyo. Then crush th army in the south. With the other force take back your lost city.!!!!

Hi lionheartx10, hope you are doing well. I noticed that most of your battle are done with levies, and a lot of time the enemy has well-trained official troops. Why don't you train a bit of Republican infantry and cavalry to boost your forces, and have a more professional army?

I am noticing it is very hard to lose a siege in this game. I actually kind of like that. Also, I know it would be the most pointless upgrade ever, but I really would love to see what gatling towers do (you know, if you ever actually have spare money again).

Darling towers make a pretty big difference in damage output of your towers, from like one shot every five seconds to one shot every second. One Gatling tower fortress with less then half a stack of my troops plus the garrison was able to comfortably slaughter a two-stack enemy attack.

Your Obama campaign was a while ago so perhaps my memory isn't as sharp as it should be. But I do think you're having a harder time going independent than with your Obama campaign while your starting position should have given you an advantage compared to the Obama campaign
