You're the only guy out in a rainstorm or riding a postie bike for 1200 miles one way that still has a smile on his face. Excellent video.

Great video! A clear shower curtain liner from the dollar store is easily attached to top of your bike, and can run down to the ground like a lean to. Can provide a reasonable rain guard in reasonable wind, to make cooking a bit easier.

Mark I have the same fold up stove, great with twigs BUT I also use mine at times with a gas burner ( the type that you can buy to clip into a trangia stove) ( I just drilled some parallel holes just large enough for some heavy gauge fence wire or thin tent pegs to go from side to side so that the gas burner can clip in) This is a great option when there’s a fire ban and you can use your gas canister 👍

Mark, great effort playing in the rain to get the content done mate. Not sure if you have spotted online Tuesday night but several new adventure bikes released to the public at EICMA bike show in Milan Italy. Is he a doctor, or just seeing things? "Bloody" this and "bloody" that. I take a small collapsible umbrella in my bike camping gear for just this situation. I can keep the rain off my fire and then off me for a much more pleasant camp. I have also used it on longer camp trips to turn upside down in the rain and collect some water. I also bring a hatchet to be able to have larger pieces of wood for my fire so I'm not constantly feeding twigs. And if you turn the firebox over and dump it, it cools down faster no matter what fuel you're using. Oh, and Fireball is rotgut. Horrible stuff. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire is MUCH better.
